Online Engineering & Project Management Software Training for TGH local partners & TGH WASH staff

 Duties and responsibilities:

1. Background and Context

Triangle Génération Humanitaire (TGH) is committed to delivering high WASH infrastructure projects. To maintain technical excellence and improve project delivery, TGH is investing in the capacity building of Local partner staff and its engineering staff. This training aims to upgrade the technical proficiency of the WASH engineering team in essential design, spatial analysis, quantity surveying, and project construction management software.

2. Objective of the Consultancy

The primary objective of this consultancy is to conduct an interactive online training program for 10 participants that will run for 35 hours. Sessions will generally run 2 hours per day, though the schedule can be adjusted based on mutual discussion. The training will focus on providing practical, hands-on experience in specialized engineering and management software to enhance structural design, system modeling, and overall project tracking to provide update and refreshing training for the WASH staff.

3. Scope of Work & Training Modules

The selected trainer/firm will be responsible for designing and delivering a structured curriculum covering the following software:

  • AutoCAD: Advanced 2D drafting, layout preparation for WASH facilities (latrines, water yards, etc.), and reading/modifying structural designs.
  • Quantity Surveying (Manual Excel & PlanSwift): Digital takeoff techniques using PlanSwift, preparing accurate Bill of Quantities (BoQs), and manual quantity calculation and cost estimation using advanced Microsoft Excel functions.
  • Wrike: Project construction management, task delegation, timeline tracking (Gantt charts), and collaborative workflow management for engineering projects.

4. Specific Conditions & Requirements

To ensure the effectiveness and legality of the training, the following conditions strictly apply:

  • Software : The consultant/firm/ individual is explicitly required to provide, install, and activate of all the aforementioned software (AutoCAD, PlanSwift, Wrike) on the laptops of the participating attendees prior to the start of the training.
  • Language of Instruction: All live training sessions, manuals, study materials, and assessments must be conducted strictly in English.
  • Interactive Online Delivery: The training must not be limited to pre-recorded videos. The consultant must use interactive, live online teaching platforms (e.g., Zoom, MS Teams) utilizing screen sharing, remote control assistance, digital whiteboards, and practical live assignments.
  • Assessment & Certification: The consultant must conduct pre- and post-training evaluations to measure skill improvement. Upon successful completion, accredited certificates must be issued to all participants.

5. Expected Deliverables

  1. Inception Report: Detailed training schedule, curriculum syllabus, and methodology submitted within the first week of signing the contract.
  2. Software Installation: Successful installation and activation of all 3 original software licenses for the 10 attendees
  3. Training Materials: Provision of all digital training manuals, datasets, and recorded sessions for future reference.
  4. Final Report: A comprehensive report detailing the training process, attendance, participant evaluations, and recommendations for further development.

6. Consultant / Firm Qualifications & Required Documents

The applicant must possess extensive experience in WASH infrastructure and software training. TGH accepts applications from both established consulting firms/training centers and individual expert trainers, subject to the following documentation requirements:

A. If the applicant is a Consulting Firm or Training Center:

  • Valid Certificate of Registration.
  • Valid Tax Clearance Certificate.
  • Valid Zakat Clearance Certificate.
  • Company Profile highlighting at least 3 years of experience in delivering similar technical engineering trainings to NGOs or corporate entities.
  • Matching Khartoum Bank account with enterprise Name.

B. If the applicant is an Individual Trainer:

  • Updated and detailed Curriculum Vitae showcasing extensive experience in WASH engineering and software instruction.
  • A portfolio or references of similar previous trainings conducted.
  • Proof of valid software licensing partnership/access to provide original software to the trainees.

C. General Requirements for All Applicants:

  • Proven technical expertise in AutoCAD(15Hours), PlanSwift (8 Hours) Excel, and Wrike(12 hour).
  • Excellent proficiency in the English language.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver engaging online learning experiences.
  • Provision of access to original softwares required for the 3 trainings to the trainees.

 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

7. Application Process

Interested candidates/firms must submit:

  1. Technical Proposal: Outlining the training methodology, detailed weekly syllabus, and approach to interactive online teaching.
  2. Financial Proposal: A detailed budget including the trainer's fees, cost of software licenses for the users and installations, and any other associated costs.
  3. Required Documents: As specified in Section 6 based on the applicant's status (Firm or Individual).
