Duration: 1 Year (Renewable based on performance and funding)

 

Gross Salary: 1,070 USD (the payment will be in SDG currency).

 Duties and responsibilities:

Job Purpose:
The PSEA Officer will be responsible for leading the implementation of Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) activities. She will work to prevent and respond to SEA, ensure the establishment of safe and confidential feedback and complaints mechanisms, and build the capacity of staff, partners, and community members on PSEA principles.

Key Responsibilities: PSEA Implementation & Coordination:

  • Establish and manage a confidential, accessible, and survivor-centered feedback and complaints mechanisms to improve service delivery and referral systems.
  • Ensure all staff, volunteers, and partners are trained on the PSEA Code of Conduct and their obligations.
  • Lead PSEA risk assessments and ensure PSEA is integrated into all program activities.
  • Coordinate with the GBV Officer to ensure all GBV activities, including outreach and community dialogues, are PSEA-sensitive and compliant.
  • Support the strengthening of community-based protection committees by integrating PSEA awareness and reporting channels.

Capacity Building & Awareness:

  • Develop and deliver PSEA training sessions for staff, partners, community leaders, and volunteers.
  • Conduct awareness-raising sessions with community members, including women and girls, on their rights and how to report SEA.
  • Engage influential leaders and faith-based groups as change agents to promote PSEA within the community.

Reporting & Response:

  • Receive, document, and refer SEA complaints in a confidential and timely manner, in line with organizational and inter-agency protocols.
  • Ensure survivors of SEA are referred to appropriate services (health, psychosocial, legal) in coordination with the GBV team.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of all PSEA cases and reports.

Monitor emerging PSEA risks and adapt prevention and response strategies based on context analysis


 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in law, Human Rights, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in PSEA, protection, or GBV in humanitarian settings.
  • Strong understanding of PSEA principles, international standards, and reporting mechanisms.
  • Experience in developing and delivering training and awareness campaigns.
  • Excellent communication, investigation, and report-writing skills.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English is required.
