Background: The Education Programme Coordinator provides strategic leadership for Sadagaat Charity Organization's Education Programme by leading sector strategy, programme design, technical quality assurance, resource mobilization, partnership development, and evidence-based programming. The position ensures that all education programmes align with the organization's strategic priorities, national education policies, donor requirements, and international standards. Working within the Planning, Design & Monitoring Department, the Education Programme Coordinator provides technical oversight throughout the project life cycle and collaborates closely with the Implementation Department, which leads project delivery, to ensure high-quality, accountable, and results-oriented education programming across humanitarian, recovery, and development contexts.

Duties and responsibilities:
Programme Development & Management: - Prepare and set clear priorities for all Education programmes and lead the development of the annual business plans that support and introduce solutions for strategic education-related issues impacting the organization.
- Coordinate excellent delivery of all sub-programmes under the education programme
- Ensure all Education goals and objectives are achieved, in line with the mission and vision of SCO.
- Conduct organizational reviews to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities, and to evaluate the operational effectiveness of new and existing education projects.
- Consult with Implementation team in develop Annual/ Quarterly work-plan identifying, action, responsibilities, timelines, of activities required to successfully complete Education projects.
- Identify emerging education needs through contextual analysis, assessments, and sector trends.
- Promote innovative education approaches, including digital learning, accelerated learning, inclusive education, TVET, and education systems strengthening.
- Ensure education programming contributes to the humanitarian-development-peace nexus and organizational resilience objectives.
- Provide technical oversight throughout the project life cycle to ensure programme quality and effectiveness.
- Distribute tasks effectively among the project team and manage timelines to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
Stakeholder Engagement & partnership - Ensure all necessary policies , legal documents, such as contracts and agreement conditions, are properly issued and maintained.
- Coordinate the development of concept notes, grant proposals, expressions of interest, and partnership agreements.
- Foster strong collaborative relationships within the organization and with key external partners and organizations to enhance the quality of thinking and ideas applied to stakeholder needs.
- Support the fundraising and partnerships function by engaging with corporate social responsibility managers to build strategic partnerships aligned with the organization's education strategy.
- Represent the organization in meetings organized by international development and humanitarian aid organizations and Participate in coordination meetings, clusters, and sector working groups as required.
- Support consortium development and partnership negotiations.
Program Quality and Oversight - Provide strategic oversight of education projects to ensure alignment with donor requirements and organizational standards.
- Review program performance, results, and impact data to inform decision-making.
- Ensure integration of safeguarding, child protection, gender equality, disability inclusion, accountability to affected populations (AAP), and conflict-sensitive programming across all education interventions.
- Promote innovation, continuous improvement, and adaptive programme management.
Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) - Collaborate closely with the Senior MEAL Officer to develop education monitoring frameworks, indicators, and data collection tools.
- Monitor sector performance using evidence and programme data to support strategic decision-making.
- Lead programme reviews, technical assessments, and education sector analyses.
- Support baseline studies, evaluations, learning reviews, and research initiatives.
- Promote evidence-based programming by ensuring lessons learned and evaluation findings inform future programme design.
- Contribute to the production of education dashboards, thematic reports, and performance analyses.
Knowledge Management and Advocacy - Lead the development of education position papers, strategic reports, and policy recommendations.
- Support organizational advocacy efforts related to education access, quality, and inclusion.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and dissemination of lessons learned and best practices.
Coordination, Representation and Advocacy - Represent Sadagaat in Education Cluster meetings, technical working groups, coordination forums, and stakeholder consultations.
- Maintain effective collaboration with the Ministry of Education, UN agencies, NGOs, donors, and education partners.
- Support organizational advocacy on education access, quality, inclusion, and systems strengthening.
- Contribute technical inputs to policy discussions and education sector coordination mechanisms.
- Promote Sadagaat's education portfolio through professional networking and strategic engagement.

Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:
Qualification: - Master's Degree in Education, International Development, Public Policy, Project Management, or a related field.
- Additional certifications in Program Management, Grant Management, or Monitoring & Evaluation are desirable.
Experience: - Minimum 4 years of progressively responsible experience in education programming, preferably with NGOs, INGOs, UN agencies, or donor-funded organizations.
- Proven experience in donor engagement, partnership development, and grant acquisition.
- Demonstrated success in developing and managing strategic education initiatives is credit.
- Demonstrated experience programme design, strategic planning, or technical leadership roles.
- Demonstrated experience in proposal development, donor engagement, and resource mobilization.
- Experience working with government institutions and education coordination mechanisms is highly desirable.
