Background: The Sudanese Red Crescent Society (SRCS) in partnership with German Red Cross (GRC) is implementing “Delivery of multi-sectoral emergency assistance through provision of multi-purpose cash assistance and integrated health and nutrition services for vulnerable populations affected by conflict, displacement, acute food insecurity and epidemic outbreaks in Sudan.” project funded by ECHO The overall objective of this integrated project is to addresses the life-saving needs of crisis-affected populations through integrated interventions on MPCA and Health.

Duties and responsibilities:
Job Purpose The ECHO Project Coordinator is responsible for the planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of Action in the States of intervention. The role ensures that intervention is delivered efficiently, safely, and accountably, in line with ECHO guidelines and SRCS standards. Project Management - Manage the design and implementation of program and operational activities, effectively using the assistance of technical support from SRCS HQ when necessary.
- Manage the grant, ensuring that project and reports are delivered according to SRCS and ECHO contractual requirements, within the agreed timescale and budget.
- Provides oversight and technical leadership in the project implementation facilitating technical dialogue with SRCS PMER, CVA, Health Sectors in SRCS.
- Oversee program implementation to ensure timely delivery of program activities (for example: budget spending plans, procurement plans, etc.)
- Ensuring a sound monitoring of the project by producing, regularly updating and sharing – once in a month with the Project Steering Committee composed of SRCS, GRC
- Responsible for the completion of timely reports to SRCS HQ
Budget Management and Compliance - Manage project’s financial processes in close cooperation with the Finance Department and in line with SRCS finance policies and procedures and with grant agreement stipulations.
- Responsible for financial management of the budget of the project; forecasting, planning, tracking of expenditures, and burn rates.
- Ensure expenditures are approved and in accordance with the budget lines.
- Ensure grants and contracts are managed in line with SRCS policies.
- Ensure that SRCS and ECHO regulations are communicated to all staff and that all activities meet SRCS requirements financially and technically.
Representation and Networking - Establish effective relations with local authorities and INGOs at the HQ level.
- Represent SRCS with the Government and local and international partners as well as relevant coordination forums when needed.
- Ensure strong communication and coordination with other SRCS, GRC team in order to maximize the use of resources to achieve sector program integration and avoid redundancy and overlap.

Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:
- University degree in social studies, health economics, or related fields
- Three or more years of experience in humanitarian field, within Proven experience managing ECHO-funded projects.
- Knowledge on project cycle management and project management tools (logical frameworks, work plans, budgets and forecasts, monitoring and evaluation plans, indicator tracking, etc.)
- Proven ability to manage complex information.
- Experience in Microsoft Office programs, (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Good oral and written communication skills both in Arabic and English
- Ability to travel per the needs of the program
Desirable qualifications and competencies - Good understanding of the CVA and emergency health interventions
- Ability to conduct independent research and analysis, identify issues, and recommend appropriate solutions
- Ability to prepare reports and make presentations
- Proven ability to plan and organize, establish priorities, manage and monitor work plans and ability to work under pressure
- Working with team spirit, strong integrity and focus on solutions and responsibilities
