Background: Communication and Advocacy Manager: The Communication and Advocacy Manager is responsible for leading and strengthening Aid Point Organization’s advocacy, communication, media engagement, and external relations functions. The role aims to enhance the visibility, reputation, and influence of AID POINT at local, national, regional, and global levels through strategic communication, evidence-based advocacy, partnership building, and public engagement initiatives. The position will ensure timely dissemination of AID POINT’s achievements, research outputs, humanitarian interventions, and strategic priorities while promoting effective humanitarian response, evidence-based decision-making, and strong stakeholder engagement. The role also supports the development of strategic partnerships, media relations, branding, and digital communication platforms to strengthen AID POINT’s overall impact and public image. MEAL & Quality Assurance Manager: The MEAL & Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for leading and strengthening Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) systems across Aid Point programmes and operations. The role ensures the implementation of effective monitoring frameworks, data quality standards, accountability mechanisms and learning processes to improve programme quality, performance and evidence-based decision-making. The position will provide technical leadership and strategic guidance to programme and field teams on MEAL systems, information management, reporting, quality assurance and accountability practices in line with humanitarian principles, donor requirements and organizational standards. The MEAL & Quality Assurance Manager will also support organizational learning, capacity building and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance programme impact and operational effectiveness.

Duties and responsibilities:
1.Communication and Advocacy Manager: Advocacy Management and Strategic Partnerships: - Develop and implement AID POINT’s Advocacy and Communications Strategy in coordination with the Executive Director.
- Support the development of national, regional, and global advocacy initiatives aligned with AID POINT’s mission and strategic objectives.
- Represent AID POINT in humanitarian forums, advocacy networks, coordination platforms, and relevant stakeholder meetings.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with humanitarian actors, donors, UN agencies, NGOs, academic institutions, think tanks, and policy/research organizations.
- Identify opportunities to influence humanitarian policies and strengthen evidence-based humanitarian interventions.
- Provide strategic analysis and updates to senior management on humanitarian trends, advocacy opportunities, and stakeholder engagement priorities.
- Support the development of strategic alliances and partnerships to enhance AID POINT’s visibility and operational impact.
External Representation and Influencing: - Strengthen AID POINT’s external profile and positioning within the humanitarian sector.
- Identify key research outputs and develop dissemination and communication campaigns to maximize impact.
- Supervise the development of briefing notes, press kits, talking points, and advocacy materials.
- Coordinate and support country-level briefings, presentations, and engagement sessions with donors, UN agencies, NGOs, and government stakeholders.
- Develop and oversee media engagement strategies and media-ready communication content.
- Ensure AID POINT’s participation and representation in national and international events, conferences, and webinars.
- Organize and coordinate AID POINT-led events, webinars, and public engagement initiatives.
Communications and Media Oversight: - Ensure timely dissemination of AID POINT products, reports, updates, and key messages through multiple communication channels.
- Produce and oversee communication materials including newsletters, press releases, media bulletins, website content, reports, and external updates.
- Manage and strengthen AID POINT’s social media presence across platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter/X, and other digital channels.
- Ensure communication products effectively reflect organizational achievements, humanitarian responses, and evidence-based findings.
- Coordinate communication campaigns using innovative formats including podcasts, webinars, videos, and digital storytelling.
- Lead media outreach efforts and maintain strong relationships with journalists, media outlets, and communication partners.
- Coordinate the drafting and publication of articles, opinion pieces, and advocacy content related to humanitarian issues and evidence-based programming.
Website, Branding, and Visibility: - Oversee the management, updating, and continuous improvement of AID POINT’s website and digital communication platforms.
- Coordinate website development initiatives, including technical improvements, content updates, and user experience enhancements.
- Develop and manage organizational branding, visibility, and communication guidelines.
- Supervise the design, formatting, editing, and production of visibility and communication materials including brochures, presentations, reports, and promotional materials.
- Ensure compliance with AID POINT branding standards and external communication procedures across all field and global operations.
- Develop and maintain an organized digital library of communication and branding materials.
Cross-Functional Coordination: - Ensure advocacy and communication initiatives are aligned with AID POINT’s strategic priorities and operational objectives.
- Coordinate with program, partnerships, and implementation teams to identify advocacy opportunities and communication priorities.
- Promote the integration of advocacy and communication components into program design, implementation, and reporting processes.
- Support internal coordination and information sharing between departments and field teams.
- Provide technical guidance and communication support to field operations when required.
General Responsibilities: - Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all organizational communications.
- Ensure all communication and advocacy activities comply with AID POINT policies, donor requirements, and humanitarian principles.
2. MEAL & Quality Assurance Manager: MEAL Systems and Technical Support: - Lead the design, implementation and improvement of Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning systems, tools and methodologies across all programmes and projects.
- Provide technical guidance and support to programme and partner teams on MEAL frameworks, indicators, logical frameworks and reporting requirements.
- Ensure monitoring systems are aligned with donor requirements, organizational priorities and humanitarian standards.
- Support the development and revision of project monitoring plans, data collection tools and reporting templates.
Monitoring, Evaluation and Data Management: - Oversee data collection, verification, analysis and reporting processes to ensure data accuracy, quality, confidentiality and timely submission.
- Support baseline assessments, needs assessments, post-distribution monitoring, evaluations and other programme reviews.
- Ensure proper information management systems are in place for effective tracking of programme performance and indicators.
- Analyze programme data and generate analytical reports to support evidence-based planning and decision-making.
Accountability and Community Engagement: - Lead the establishment and strengthening of accountability mechanisms and community feedback systems.
- Ensure complaints and feedback response mechanisms are functional, accessible, confidential and responsive.
- Promote accountability to affected populations through community engagement and transparent communication processes.
- Monitor and follow up on complaints, feedback and safeguarding concerns in coordination with relevant departments.
Programme Quality Assurance: - Support programme and operational teams in improving programme quality, compliance and performance standards.
- Conduct regular field monitoring visits and quality assurance reviews to assess programme implementation and identify gaps.
- Provide technical recommendations and corrective actions to improve programme effectiveness and operational efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to humanitarian principles, organizational policies and donor compliance requirements.
Learning, Reporting and Knowledge Management: - Support the preparation of donor reports, programme updates, lessons learned, case studies and technical documentation.
- Lead organizational learning initiatives by documenting best practices, lessons learned and programme achievements.
- Facilitate review meetings, learning workshops and reflection sessions with programme teams and partners.
- Promote knowledge sharing and continuous improvement across departments and field teams.
Capacity Building and Team Support: - Deliver technical training, coaching and mentoring sessions for staff and field teams on MEAL tools, accountability standards and data quality procedures.
- Strengthen staff capacity on monitoring methodologies, reporting systems and information management practices.
- Provide ongoing technical support and troubleshooting to programme teams during implementation.
Coordination and Representation: - Coordinate closely with programme, operations and support departments to strengthen integrated programme quality systems.
- Represent Aid Point in relevant MEAL, accountability and quality assurance coordination meetings when required.
- Maintain effective communication and collaboration with partners, donors and stakeholders regarding MEAL and quality assurance matters.
Other Responsibilities: - Provide additional technical and advisory support as assigned by the Line Manager in line with organizational objectives and humanitarian standards.
- Undertake any other relevant duties required to support programme quality, accountability and organizational effectiveness.
