Background: The Operations Manager is responsible for leading and optimizing all operational functions of Aid Point under the unified consortium framework, including logistics, procurement, asset management, warehousing, fleet, and IT systems. This role ensures efficient, compliant, and accountable delivery of humanitarian programs across multiple regions in Sudan, supporting large-scale emergency response operations while aligning with donor requirements, cluster coordination mechanisms, and consortium governance structures.

Duties and responsibilities:
A. Strategic Operations Leadership- Lead the development and execution of the operations strategy aligned with Aid Point’s humanitarian response priorities.
- Establish efficient, scalable systems for logistics, procurement, warehousing, and IT across all operational regions.
- Support the Executive Team in operational planning, risk management, and resource optimization.
- Contribute to proposal development and budgeting, ensuring realistic operational costing.
B. Logistics & Supply Chain Management- Oversee end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, transport, and last-mile delivery.
- Ensure timely delivery of program supplies to hard-to-reach and conflict-affected areas.
- Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for logistics and procurement.
- Manage supplier prequalification, framework agreements, and vendor performance.
C. Warehouse & Inventory Management- Establish and supervise central and field warehouses in compliance with humanitarian standards.
- Ensure accurate stock tracking, reporting, and reconciliation systems.
- Implement inventory control mechanisms to prevent loss, diversion, or expiry.
- Oversee periodic physical stock counts and audits.
D. Asset & Fleet Management- Maintain a centralized asset management system across all locations
- Ensure proper asset tagging, tracking, maintenance, and disposal in line with donor requirements.
- Oversee fleet operations, including vehicle allocation, maintenance, fuel management, and tracking systems.
E. IT & Systems Management- Oversee IT infrastructure, ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient systems across all locations.
- Ensure cybersecurity measures and data protection protocols are in place.
F. Compliance, Risk & Quality Assurance- Ensure full compliance with donor regulations, audit requirements, and internal policies.
- Strengthen internal controls across procurement, logistics, and asset management.
- Identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Maintain proper documentation and audit trails for all operational activities.
G. Coordination & Stakeholder Engagement- Coordinate with program teams, finance, HR and MEAL departments to ensure integrated delivery.
- Represent Aid Point in logistics and operations cluster meetings when required.
- Liaise with UN agencies, INGOs, government authorities, and suppliers
- Support stakeholder engagement and ensure timely operational reporting.
H. Team Leadership & Capacity Building- Lead, mentor, and manage the operations team across multiple locations.
- Develop staff capacity through training, coaching, and performance management.
- Promote a culture of accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:
Education: - Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field
- Master’s degree or professional certifications (CIPS, PMP) is an advantage.
Experience: - Minimum 7–10 years of progressive experience in operations/logistics in humanitarian or development organizations.
- At least 3 years in a managerial role overseeing multi-functional operations.
- Experience in complex emergencies and conflict environments (preferably Sudan)
- Proven experience managing multi-sector, donor-funded programs (USAID, EU, UN, etc.)
