Background: INTERSOS is an international Italian NGO established in 1992. Since its establishment, INTERSOS has been undertaking activities to help and empower the poor and needy in different countries. INTERSOS is currently implementing several projects in the sectors of Health, Protection and IDPs Response in different states in Sudan.

Duties and responsibilities:
Main Purpose: Plan and execute accounting-financial and daily administrative and HR activities for the projects as well as for the NGO’s annual budget according to INTERSOS protocols and standards in order to ensure the optimal management of financial resources. Tasks: Accounting and budget - Book the accounting transactions according to INTERSOS’ accounting standards by ensuring the transparency and full traceability of the registration (invoices, receipts, bank statements, etc.)
- Manage the bank accounts and prepare monthly bank statements and cash-bank reconciliations respecting the deadlines. Prepare payments by check, bank and online platform and prepare income tax returns based on journal recording and field entries
- Contribute to the liquidity management of the mission in order to optimize cash needs
- Provide on weekly basis the accounting journal to the Information Technology Accountant (if present)
- In collaboration with the Finance Manager, provide support in drafting new projects budgets and support statutory annual/project auditing procedures
- Support the Finance Manager on the preparation of the Mission Cost Recovery tool respecting the sustainability of the proposals and the financial and economic forecast
- Support the Finance Manager in regularly check the economic-financial status of the projects (final balance, forecast and expenditure projections and excess) and inform regularly the Field Coordinator
Compliance - Support the preparation of the interim and final financial reports of the projects respecting the deadlines and submit them for approval to the Finance Manager.
- In collaboration with the Finance Manager transmit to HQ all project documents to be audited in HQ Rome
HR Administration - Prepare the payment of taxes provided by HR Department
- Train and supervise the Finance Assistant in order to ensure the amount of knowledge required to correctly perform all financial tasks
- Support in the creation of a payroll matrix, by ensuring compliance with Sudanese law
- Is responsible to manage the entire payroll process ensuring punctuality and accuracy. Ensure regular and punctual circulation and collection of pay-slip in all the field bases
- Manage recruitment processes, if necessary
Asset management and logistics - Prepare cash and bank transfers payments to suppliers and contractors as requested and authorized by the Finance Manager/Finance Coordinator.

Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:
Education - Desirable finance, business or administration related diploma
Professional experience - Minimum two years’ relevant work experience
- Experience in relevant and similar jobs
- Desirable working experience with other NGOs in developing countries
Professional requirements - Essential computer literacy (financial DB, word, excel and internet)
