Background: - The Sudanese Red Crescent Society (SRCS) was established by a resolution of the Council of Ministers in 1956, in line with international legislation requiring the creation of national societies in independent states, as stipulated by the Four Geneva Conventions of 1949.
The national society delivers a wide range of humanitarian services through its network of volunteers across all Sudanese states, operating strictly in accordance with the seven Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. These principles, particularly independence, neutrality, and impartiality ensure that humanitarian assistance reaches those in need without discrimination and free from any political, religious, ethnic, or sectarian agendas. SRCS also implements numerous joint activities in collaboration with various ministries and relevant stakeholders and operates through 18 branches, ensuring coverage across the entire country. Purpose of the Role: The Finance Officer is responsible for oversees preparing, and compliance of financial documentation and accounting transactions, reconciliations, advances reporting, in line with SRCS financial Rules procedures, donors and internal control requirements.

Duties and responsibilities:
Duties and Responsibilities: - Review and verify the quality, accuracy, and completeness of invoices and supporting documents submitted by SRCS branches/suppliers prior to submission to the donor.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure invoices and financial documents undergo appropriate technical and administrative checks.
- Liaise closely with SRCS Headquarters accountants to ensure all supporting documentation complies with the donor financial policies, procedures, and audit requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and on-the-job support to SRCS finance staff to improve the quality, timeliness, and consistency of financial documentation.
- Conduct regular field visits to SRCS branches to coach and support finance and administrative colleagues on accounting and documentation standards.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting entries and transactions in accordance with established financial procedures and internal control frameworks.
- Maintain up-to-date, well-organized filing systems for all financial documents, ensuring proper archiving for future reference, audits, and reviews.
- Perform regular integrity checks of accounting records, transactions, and account balances.
- Identify discrepancies, anomalies, or compliance issues and propose corrective actions to the supervisor.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes, controls, and compliance
mechanisms.

Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:
Education & Certification: - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance , Business Administration, Economics, or any related field.
- Professional accounting certifications.
Experience: - 3–5 years of experience with international organizations or humanitarian, relevant Previous professional experience in finance or accounting settings is an asset.
Technical Skills : - Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles, internal controls, compliance, and reporting.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Office, knowledge of accounting systems/ERP Odoo, and other relevant accounting software systems.
- Skilled in leadership, accountability, teamwork & collaboration, reporting the beneficiary and work under pressure.
- Fluency in spoken and written of both Arabic and English.
