Background: Action Against Hunger is looking for a potential Expert Cook who will be in charge for preparing safe, nutritious, and timely meals for staff including National, International staff, and guests in accordance with organizational standards, hygiene requirements, and local health regulations.

Duties and responsibilities:
- Prepare daily meals according to agreed menus and dietary requirements
- Ensure food is cooked, stored, and served in a hygienic and safe manner
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, utensils, and food storage areas at all times
- Monitor food stocks and inform the supervisor of items that need replenishment
- Properly store food supplies to avoid spoilage and waste.
- Support special meal preparations for meetings, training, or visitors when required.
- Dispose of kitchen waste in a safe and environmentally friendly way.
- Prepare tea and coffee for staff from the morning until the end of the working day.
- Assist with food storage, labeling, and stock rotation (FIFO).
- Perform any other tasks related to the job duties and job description as assigned by the immediate supervisor or other delegators.

Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:
- The Cook is responsible for preparing safe, nutritious, and timely meals for staff and guests in accordance with organizational standards.
- Demonstrated capacity to work in multicultural environments.
- Experience with International hotels it will be an asset.
- Preferable: Certified Professional Degree in the Field, (Cooking).
- Minimum of 2– 4 years' experience as a cook, preferably with an INGOs/UN Agencies or institutional setting.

Remuneration package - Based in: Port Sudan
- Position length: 12 Months with Three (03) Months Probation Period, (Renewable Subject to Funding and Performance)
- Line manager: Human Resources Officer
- Salary: 500 USD (Gross)
- Annual Leave: 20 Working Days/ year
