RI is looking for qualified candidates Nationals to fill the vacancies mentioned herewith.



 
 Duties and responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

Key responsibilities for HIS Officer will include:

 

  • Ensure all RI target facilities use agreed and standard data registration books as directed by the ministry of health (MOH); as well as ensure all RI and Partner facilities comply with the standard indicator reporting templates provided by RI.
  • Ensure timely data collection with standard and agreed data collection and reporting templates on all RI project indicators
  • Communicate with H&N facility level data focal persons for weekly submission of data 
  • Lead the Health and Nutrition data entry into database software (Log Alto) on weekly basis
  • Ensure data verification is done in coordination with MEAL team to make sure the accuracy of the data that has been inputted
  • Resolve discrepancies in information and ensure completeness of data and report with supporting documents
  • Share completed data with Health/Nutrition team and MEAL Officers for review by end of each week / month

Specific tasks

As a HIS Officer will be responsible to ensure following specific tasks are achieved to expected standard:

  • Maintain quality and secure data base in RI data base system for all health and nutrition project components 
  • Work with Health and MEAL team to verify data accuracy 
  • Timely review and feedback on received data to facility Data Focal Persons at the HFs and MMUs    
  • Follow up and ensure all hard copies received from facilities are archived on timely basis through well maintained folders
  • Support MEAL tram in data entry, analysis and reporting for assessments using scientific statistical packages like, EPI info, SPSS, Strata, Excel among other relevant computer software’s 
  • Facilitate annual program evaluations, baseline studies, and other assessments 
  • Any other tasks as required by the Snr Health and MEAL teams and Area Manager

 


 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

  • University or college diploma/degree in statistics, epidemiology/public health or related fields are more preferable
  • Experience in health and/or nutrition program data management systems (HIS) etc with at least two years in INGO work  
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft programs – Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint
  • four years of professional experience in humanitarian work specifically public health programs
  • Short courses in data management or M&E as deemed necessary
  • Interest in monitoring (qualitative and quantitative methodologies) and research
  • Fluency in Arabic and English, with the ability to write in both languages.
