Job Summary:  

The logistics Officer will provide day-to-day logistics support to the Project, ensuring the timely, complaint, and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. The role will coordinate local procurement processes in alignment with CRS and donor regulations, contributing to efficient program delivery. The incumbent will ensure stewardship, integrity, and accountability in all procurement activities, and maintain positive supplier relationships to support operational excellence. 

 



 
 Duties and responsibilities:

Roles and Key Responsibilities:  

  • Coordinate and execute procurement processes in compliance with CRS policies, donor regulations, and local statutory requirements. 
  • Work with program and operations teams to develop and maintain updated procurement plans and provide market data to support budgeting and planning. 
  • Conduct sourcing activities including market research, solicitation, bid evaluations, and preparation of contracts or purchase orders. 
  • Ensure timely follow-up on supplier commitments and maintain clear, up-to-date procurement documentation for all transactions. 
  • Track deliveries and verify goods/services received match order specifications in quantity, quality, and cost. 
  • Maintain supplier databases, track vendor performance, and support relationship management. 
  • Support the preparation of procurement reports, audits, and documentation retrieval as needed. 

 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

Basic Qualifications:  

Education and Experience  

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. 
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in procurement and logistics, preferably with an international NGO. 
  • Familiarity with donor procurement regulations (e.g. USAID, EU, UN and World Bank). 
  • Strong understanding of procurement principles, sourcing strategies, and contract management. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word); experience with procurement or inventory databases is an advantage. 
  • Experience working in emergency or humanitarian contexts is a plus. 

 

Required Languages – English and Arabic 

 

Travel- Minimal travel outside of assigned hub 

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (SKAs)  

  • Strong planning and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. 
  • Good analytical and decision-making abilities. 
  • High integrity and commitment to ethical procurement practices. 
  • Effective communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills. 

 

Preferred Qualifications – (If applicable)  

  • Professional certification in procurement or supply chain (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is highly desirable. 
  • Experience using online procurement or ERP systems.
