Background: The Senior Monitoring & Evaluation officer will be responsible for designing and implementing the M&E activities of the Projects assisting the Planning Manager in preparing Quarterly/Annual reports on projects progress and will monitor the projects activities on a regular basis, developing and maintaining the MIS of the Project and will be responsible for the collection & analysis of different data in relation to the projects activities

Duties and responsibilities:
- Develop monitoring and evaluation procedures.
- Monitor all projects activities, expenditures and progress towards achieving the project output.
- Collect data on a regular basis to measure achievement against the performance indicators.
- Recommend further improvement of the logical frame work.
- Monitor and evaluate overall progress on achievement of results.
- Provide feedback to the planning & Implementation Managers on projects strategies and activities.
- Suggest strategies to the Project Management for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the projects.
- Report monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual progress on all project activities to the Organization Management & Board of Directors.
- Provide inputs, information and statistics for quarterly, annual and other reports to Project Management Team.
- Assist in coordinating across the available components of the Projects to ensure effective implementation of M&E.
- Supervise and provide technical guidance to the M&E team, ensuring effective planning, coordination, and implementation of monitoring and evaluation activities in alignment with organizational standards and donor requirements.
- Check that monitoring data are discussed in appropriate forum and in a timely fashion in terms of implications for future action. If necessary, create such discussions to fill any gap.
- Perform any other duties as may be reasonably required within the scope of the organization’s activities.

Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:
- University Degree preferably MBA in Business Administration, Economics or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in the design and implementation of M&E/MIS in development projects implemented by national/international NGOs/UN bodies/ Government.
- Good knowledge of program implementation, monitoring and evaluation techniques and practices.
- Able to adjust & adapt effectively to changing priorities, environments, and work demands while maintaining a high level of performance.
- Proven organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent knowledge in data management & familiarity with Power BI, Kobo Toolbox, and advanced Excel is required for data management, analysis, and reporting.
- Excellent Arabic and English Language.
- Preferably familiar with ERP systems (such as Odoo, SAP, etc.) to support data integration and organizational processes.
- Able and willing to work as part of the team and as team leader and assist or carry out other duties during periods of high workload and emergencies.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality; demonstrate sound judgement and discretion
- Strong organizational and detail coordination skills.
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
