Duties and responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, implementation, and monitoring of project activities in line with project objectives, outcomes, logical framework and SRCS requirements and organizational policies
- Support community-based interventions to improve food security, agricultural productivity, and sustainable livelihoods.
- Ensure gender, protection, and climate-smart approaches are integrated into programming.
- Administration task in relation to project program and activities
- Be the focal person to provide technical support for
- FSL need assessments,
- financial support to set up and strengthen small agribusiness,
- Develop and support individual employment pathway
- Develop vocational training pathways adapted to the new business opportunities linked to processing, distribution and marketing possibilities for the development of the agricultural value chains
- Train and support the drafting and implementation of business and marketing plans for the supported initiative
- Trainings targeting associations and cooperative members on governance and financial management, the role of cooperative committees, business plans and marketing strategies;
- Identify key market system actors and organize networking activities to increase knowledge on supported local value chains and market linkages
- Conduct value chain and labor market analysis (including skills assessment) to identify opportunities for income generating activities and jobs linked to new
- Any other related interventions
2.Coordination of project technical activities- Participate in development of partnerships and coordination with local stakeholders to facilitate delivery of field level activities.
- Participate in staff meetings and other meetings, workshops, and conferences.
- Liaison between stakeholders, to ensure they are informed and engaged
- Ensure safe, dignified and quality delivery service for target communities.
- Work closely with community leaders, local authorities, and target community committees to ensure inclusive participation in project activities.
- Facilitate trainings, awareness sessions, and technical support for farmers, women groups and livelihood groups.
- Strengthen community-based structures for resilience and disaster preparedness.
- Facilitating dialogue between stakeholders at field level through meetings and individual interviews.
- Promote and support networking initiatives for stakeholders and actors at field level.
- Contribute to support capacity development of the project stakeholders to grantee informed and effective involvement of the stakeholders.
3.Project monitoring and evaluation- Contribute to setting up and maintaining monitoring systems and reporting formats.
- Conduct regular field visits to track progress, identify challenges, and propose solutions.
- Receiving and reviewing project progress reports submitted by the project field officers and project managers.
- Monitor day-to-day implementation of the project activities and discuss emerging issues and problems with stakeholders in the field.
- Contributing to baseline and/or end line assessments, review, lessons learnt workshop of the project.
- Collect and analyze data on food security and livelihoods indicators.
- Prepare for and participate in regular progress planning meetings with the line manager, and at other staff meetings as appropriate.
- Organize and conduct one-to-one progress and planning meetings with project coordinator and/or project managers.
- Prepare timely progress reports, success stories, and lessons learned for internal and donor reporting.
- Submit monthly /or as otherwise agreed with the program coordinator, progress and achievement reports, on the ongoing and planned assessments and training courses.
4.Coordination of project reporting processes - Delivering feedback to other project stakeholders at field level.
- Coordinate with other governmental technical departments (extension, agriculture research station, Rang and Pasture, information and planning, animal health, animal production and social welfare) to ensure integrated programming.
- Liaise with government counterparts, NGOs, and UN agencies to ensure complementarity and avoid duplication.
5.Resource Management and Compliance - Ensure proper use of project resources, assets, and inputs (seeds, tools, cash/voucher assistance, etc.).
- Support procurement processes by preparing technical specifications and verifying quality of delivered items.
- Ensure compliance with SRCS requirements, accountability standards, and organizational policies (e.g., safeguarding, PSEA, Do No Harm).
6.Other- Contribute in development of new funding proposals and extended project proposals.
- Participate in and contribute to SRCS, Northern State and Kassala annual planning process.
- Where appropriate, attend internal/external meetings and workshops relevant to the project work as agreed with Line Manger.
- Undertake any other tasks in agreement with the line manager.

Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:
Qualifications- University degree, bachelor's in food security and Livelihood technical background - Agriculture or Forestry, agronomy, environment, geography, socioeconomics or any other related, and Livelihood.
Experience of- Working with NGO?s, other institutions or authorities within the field based rural development programmes.
- Project designing, planning, monitoring and leadership, minimum 6 years working experience in similar positions.
- Practical application of participatory approaches and community mobilization.
- Advanced technical Knowledge on climate change adaptation, agricultural development and aspects of FSL, including but not limited to: improved agricultural productivity approaches, environmental approaches, economic empowerment, value chain in agriculture
- Good understanding of NRM, CAHW?s, vocational training implementations
