 Background:

 SUDO is an independent, secular, nongovernmental, non-partisan and non-profit making organization established in April 2001 and dedicated to the promotion and the protection of human rights, peace building, support human basic services and development. In particular, the sector includes: FSL, Health, Nutrition, Protection, WASH, and cash programs.  SUDO is currently operating through 13 well-established field offices. 



 
 Duties and responsibilities:

 Under the direct supervision of the Program Development & Reporting Specialist, the Grants Officer will undertake the following responsibilities:

 

 

  • Lead in updating the grants management in SUDO?s MIS.
  • Coordinate the grants application process between departments and track submission deadlines. 
  • Review the grants agreements and ensure all terms and obligations are understood.
  • Monitor the grants and ensure adherence to the grants conditions. 
  • Monitor grants and advise on grants cost or no-cost extension.
  • Prepare the payment requests in coordination with finance team. 
  • Lead in organzing grants kick-off, reviews and closure.
  • Keep up-to-date grants tracking and provide regular updates to the supervisor and senior management.
  • Ensure the reports to donors are according to the required formats and standards.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions with donors.
  • Act as a liaison between donors and internal implementation teams.
  • Organize workshops to build team capacity in grants management and reporting.
  • Provide hands in analyzing financial and technical data to support decision-making.
  • Undertake any other relevant tasks requested by the line manager.

 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

 

  • Master ?s degree in Management, Finance, International Development, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in grants management or similar roles in non-profit organizations.
  • Knowledge of major donor procedures (e.g., UN, EU, USAID).
  • Experience in drafting financial and technical reports.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word).
  • Familiarity with project management systems (e.g., MS Project) and databases.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills in both Arabic and English.
  • Good command of computer applications (MS Office) and data collection tools.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • High ability to work independently and as part of a team.
