Background: The Danish Refugee Council (DRC), one of the world’s leading NGOs, with a focus on responding to displacement, have been registered in Sudan since 2004, delivering life-saving programming in protection, emergency response, shelter, food security and livelihoods, disaster risk reduction, camp management, and humanitarian mine action. DRC has implemented projects in Central Darfur, South Kordofan, Gedaref, Port Sudan, and White Nile. Sudan hosts one of the largest displaced populations in Africa, with over 3.7 million internally displaced people and over 1.1 million refugees from South Sudan, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Central African Republic, Chad, Yemen and Syria. Against a background of political crisis, Sudan faces economic and social turmoil, with sharp increases in food and energy costs, further exacerbated by disease outbreaks and ongoing conflict. Under the direct supervision of the Umdukhun Base Manager, and technical supervision from the Central Darfur Finance Team Leader, the Finance Officer will be in charge of the daily finance and accounting management of Umdukhun base. The Finance Officer will work on overall financial monitoring and support capacity building for Umdukhun office and partners and practice rigorous financial control mechanism. S/He will make sure that financial procedures, policies, and requirements are implemented in compliance with DRC and Donors and to contribute to the achievement of DRC Vision, Mission & Values |

Duties and responsibilities: DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibility 1: Management of the office cash and bi-weekly/monthly cash flow forecasts
Responsibility 2: Hold the cash book with supporting documents in high quality at weekly/monthly basis
Responsibility 3: Management of financial assets and liabilities of the base
Responsibility 4: Management of the archiving of finance records of the base.
Responsibility 5: Tax deduction and remittance on time

Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required: Experience and technical competencies:
A Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Etc.) is required.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS University Degree preferably related to Finance, Accounting, Administration and Business.
LANGUAGES
Knowledge of local Language will be considered an asset Key stakeholders:
