Duties and responsibilities: Key responsibilities for HIS Officer will include: ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS - Proper organization of the pharmacy and medical warehouse
- Responsible for ensuring the proper management of all medicines, medical supplies, and equipment, monitoring their consumption, and ensuring proper records are maintained and reports on consumption are prepared and submitted regularly.
- Work with the Logistics team to ensure proper storage of medical drugs, supplies, and equipment as well as store management practice.
- Work closely with the health team to ensure that medicines and supplies are distributed monthly to all health facilities according to their actual needs.
- Ensure that all medicines and supplies received in the store and dispatched to the clinics are correctly recorded in stock cards.
- Ensure that RI-supported health facilities are using the correct procedures and documentation to receive, store, and disburse medical supplies
- Review and update the monthly drug consumption database.
- Ensure that the medical supplies stock management system (SMS) is updated on monthly basis and reports any shortages of medicines, Medical supplies in a timely manner.
- Accountable for all drugs and medical supplies in the medical store and work closely with the medical logistic officer to ensure that medicines and supplies are managed properly at the clinic level.
- Conduct support supervision visits to all RI-supported health clinics to ensure proper management of drugs and medical supplies as well as do on-the-job training for the dispensing staff so as to improve the quality of services provided, including safe and rational use of medication and correct procedures of dispensers in the health facilities.
- Cooperate with all members of the RI team and develop a good working relationship with all staff.
- Conduct duties in a professional and responsible manner.
- Maintain at all times RI’s good reputation through your work and interactions with partners and other stakeholders.

Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:
Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required: QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: - Qualified with a minimum of a bachelor's in pharmacy, registered by MOH and of Sudanese nationality
- More than 2 years of experience in working with NGOs or international institutions supporting pharmaceutical supply chain systems
- Ability to focus on priorities, good management, coaching, and communication skills
- Ability to work in a team
- Experience in supervising pharmacy services and writing reports
- Proficiency in using Microsoft programs – Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint
- Fluency in Arabic and English, with the ability to write in both languages.
