As part of our commitment to delivering high-quality, impactful programs, we are seeking a qualified and experienced individual to fill the Program Coordinator position



 
 Duties and responsibilities:

  • Provides effective leadership for the Humanitarian Appeal Project team in Kassala and the Red Sea.
  • Organizes regular team meetings to review performance, share updates, and ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Oversees management of field offices and ensures appropriate use of organizational assets and funds.
  • Supports the development of annual work plans and budgets in line with project objectives and donor requirements.
  • Collaborates with staff to implement individual work plans with measurable objectives and timelines.
  • Coordinates with HR and Program Director for capacity building, mentoring, and performance appraisals of project staff.
  • Ensures timely and accurate narrative and financial reporting in compliance with donor and organizational standards.
  • Supports implementation of Protection, FSL, and WASH activities, ensuring integration, community engagement, and accountability.
  • Strengthens community structures and ensures inclusive participation in project design, implementation, and feedback mechanisms.
  • Supports caregivers and community groups with business planning, vocational training, savings and loan schemes, and other self-reliance strategies.
  • Works closely with the M&E team to ensure project monitoring, data collection, learning, and adaptation.
  • Builds strong linkages with relevant government departments, local leaders, humanitarian actors, and donors to enhance coordination and sustainability.
  • Identifies and supports the development of new project ideas, concept notes, and proposals in collaboration with the Program Director.
  • Maintains positive relationships with donors and stakeholders, providing regular updates and responding to information requests.

 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Development Studies, Social Work, Humanitarian Affairs, or a related field. A Master’s Degree is an asset.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in coordinating humanitarian or development projects, preferably in emergency settings.
  • Solid experience in managing multi-sectoral projects, including Protection, FSL, and/or WASH.
  • Strong knowledge of child protection principles, community mobilization, and resilience programming.
  • Experience in donor reporting, budgeting, and financial management.
  • Demonstrated skills in team leadership, coordination, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Familiarity with the humanitarian architecture in Sudan and ability to engage with clusters and government counterparts.
  • Proficient in program cycle management, including planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills in English and Arabic.
  • Strong computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and online data collection tools.
