 Background:

Under the direct supervision of Northen State Program Coordinator, the Education officer will be responsible for the successful supervision, implementation, monitoring and reporting of the Education Projects and programs in their localities as per the project plan and LM International strategies, mission and vision. Besides, he/she will be responsible for documenting project lessons and good practices.



 
 Duties and responsibilities:

Program Implementation and Coordination

  • Oversee the implementation of the TaRL program, ensuring that teaching is adapted to each.
  • Coordinate with local teachers, schools, and community leaders to support TaRL activities.
  • Regularly visit classrooms to observe, monitor, and support the teaching process, ensuring adherence to TaRL principles.

 Teacher Training and Support

  • Coordinated and follow-up training sessions and workshops to equip teachers with TaRL methodologies.
  • Provide ongoing support to LMI, helping them identify individual student needs and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Offer feedback and practical suggestions on implementing TaRL techniques to the supervisor.
  • Provide ongoing technical support to ensure that teaching and facilitation techniques meet program standards and are adapted to local needs. 

 

Data Collection and Reporting

  • Collect quantitative and qualitative data on student performance, teacher practices, and program outcomes.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate reports on project activities, progress, challenges, and outcomes for internal use, and areas for improvement in TaRL implementation.

Coordination 

  • Engage with the Ministry of Education at state levels, community members, PTAs, and school stakeholders to increase awareness and support for TaRL goals.
  • Represent the organization in local education sector meetings and contribute to coordination efforts with other NGOs and stakeholders.

Monitoring & Evaluation  

  • Follow-up day-to-day Identify and troubleshoot challenges in implementing TaRL, from teacher hesitancy to material shortages or logistical barriers.
  • Collaborate with program coordinators and other stakeholders to adapt strategies as needed for effective implementation.

Documentation and Knowledge Sharing

  • Document best practices and lessons learned from the TaRL program to inform future educational projects.
  • Share insights and successes from the field with team members, partners, and stakeholders to promote continuous improvement.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by Management.

 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

  • BSc in Education, psychology, Social studies or other relevant field and Master degree is recommendable.
  • 2-3 years working experience in Education Especially working with children with disability is preferable  
  • Fluency in "English and Arabic essential”
  • Proficient in computer programmes such as Word and Excel, power point.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to effectively make presentations.

Job Commitment
  • Starting date: As soon as possible.
