Introduction to the Country Office:
Norwegian church Aid is in Sudan since 1972 and works in the fields of relief, rehabilitation, and development, and works through national partners.
NCA’s Country Office is currently in Port Sudan. It has a Field Office in Al-Gadarif, Al-Gadarif State, where its projects activities encompass GBV, Climate Resilient WASH, Climate Smart Economic Empowerment, and Health. As well, its projects activities in Kosti, White Nile State are implemented by the national partners

Duties and responsibilities:
- AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Petty cash management and custody
- Supporting payment process
- Archiving and finance documents management
- Data entry into Maconomy
- Banking support
- MAIN TASKS
Petty Cash Management - Maintain petty cash funds in accordance with NCA procedures.
- Process approved petty cash payments.
- Ensure petty cash balances always agree with the cash book.
- Update petty cash records daily.
- Prepare petty cash replenishment requests.
- Support periodic and surprise cash counts.
- Monitor cash levels and inform the Finance Coordinator when replenishment is required.
Supporting payment process - Receive payment requests and supporting documents.
- Check that all required documents are attached.
- Follow up on missing documents.
- Submit documents to the Finance Officer for review.
- Stamp payment requests "PAID" when required.
Data Entry in Maconomy - Enter finance transactions into Maconomy accurately and on time.
- Use the correct account codes, project codes, and activity codes.
- Submit entered transactions to the Finance Officer for review.
- Make corrections in Maconomy based on comments from the Finance Officer or Finance Coordinator.
Archiving and Document Management - File finance documents in the correct folders.
- Maintain finance files in hard copy and electronic format.
- Keep records organized and easy to find.
- Provide documents for audits, reviews, and donor visits.
- Keep partner finance files organized and up to date
- Prepare partner documents for review by the Finance Officer
Banking Support - Prepare bank documents as requested.
- Deliver and collect documents from the bank when required.
- Follow up with the bank on routine matters as requested by the Finance Coordinator.
- Keep copies of bank documents and letters in the finance files.
Control Responsibilities - Ensure all supporting documentation is attached before transactions are entered into Maconomy.
- Report missing documentation or irregularities to the Finance Officer or Finance Coordinator.
- Adhere to NCA internal controls and segregation-of-duty requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information and records.

Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:
Required Education, Skill and Experience:- A related college degree.
- Strong mathematical skills.
- Relevant INGOs/UN experience.
- Good knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures.
- Familiarity with accounting software.
- Time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and on a team.
- Attention to detail to catch errors.

We Offer:- A monthly “Gross Salary” of USD (1,262.00).
- The contract of employment is bound by the minimum requirements of the Labor Act for the Year 1997 and the maximum of NCA National Staff Handbook.
