The Health Programs Manager will be responsible for the planning, implementation, and monitoring of healthcare services and nutrition programs in Sudan, focusing on areas affected by conflict. The Health Programs Manager is responsible for overseeing SAPA's healthcare initiatives in Sudan, ensuring the delivery of quality medical services during and after the conflict. They he/She  will lead healthcare teams, coordinate with local partners, and manage program implementation.



 
 Duties and responsibilities:

1. Program Implementation:

   - Lead the planning and implementation of healthcare programs, including emergency medical care and nutrition services.

   - Ensure the provision of high-quality healthcare services to conflict-affected populations.


 

2.Team Management:

   - Recruit, train, and supervise healthcare staff, including doctors, nurses, and support personnel.

   - Foster a collaborative and supportive working environment for the healthcare team.


 

3. Partnership Coordination:

   - Collaborate with local healthcare providers, NGOs, and relevant stakeholders to enhance program effectiveness.

   - Coordinate referrals and healthcare delivery with partner organizations.


 

4. Emergency Response:

   - Develop and implement emergency response plans to address immediate healthcare needs during conflict and crises.

   - Ensure the availability of essential medical supplies and equipment.


 

5. Monitoring and Reporting:

   - Establish monitoring mechanisms to track healthcare program performance and impact.

   - Prepare regular reports on program activities and outcomes.


 

6. Community Health systems strengthening:

   - Implement community health education and awareness initiatives to promote preventive healthcare practices.

   - Engage with communities to address healthcare concerns and priorities.


 

7. Quality Assurance:

   - Ensure compliance with healthcare standards and protocols in line with international best practices.

   - Conduct regular quality assessments and improvement measures.



 


 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in public health, medicine, or a related field.

- At least 3 years of experience in healthcare program management in humanitarian contexts.

- Strong understanding of healthcare delivery in Sudan and the challenges faced during and after conflict.

- Strong clinical background and knowledge of healthcare systems in Sudan.

- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.

- Experience in emergency medical response and coordination.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Proven leadership and team management skills.

- Knowledge of nutrition programming is an advantage.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic.
