Rohax International specializes in Gold Mining and has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Supply Chain Manager to join our dynamic team. This position is well suited to an individual that is looking to advance their career in Supply Chain Management and gain hands-on experience in a thriving and supportive workplace.

 



 
 Duties and responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement the overall supply chain strategy.
  • Establish supply chain management policies and procedures based on regulatory requirements (mining code) and international best practices & principles.
  • Determine key supply chain KPIs.
  • Leads the supply chain team in executing best practices and measuring performance through agreed upon Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Directs and coordinates global supply chain functions through strategy, resource optimization, profitability maximization, and KPIs resulting in the maximization of customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with all departments and section to Plans, manages, and coordinates all activities related to the sourcing and procurement of necessary materials and supplies needed to meet the changing levels of product demand.
  • Works with plant, warehouse, and logistics departments to determine and set up intercompany transfers.
  • Monitors and corrects inventory levels at warehouses and internally to ensure rotation and maximize working capital.
  • Works with freight forwards and transportation companies to set best route and rate (reviews and approves all freight terms and agreements).
  • Collaborates with procurement department to determine best practice for freight in and freight consolidation.
  • Supports proper utilization of ERP system
  • Suggest solutions for process improvements
  • Identify process bottleneck and implement solutions in a timely manner
  • Coach, train and evaluate subordinates.
  • Work with finance, exploration, and operation to determine best vendors and distributors
  • Build and maintain good relationships with vendors and service providers

 


 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain/Logistics, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of contracting, supply chain, logistics, or warehouse management experience.
  • Relevant professional certificate or membership will be an advantage.
  • Excellent English language.
  • French Language proficiency is an added advantage.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, experience with other relevant systems.
  • Hands on experience with supply chain management software such as Odoo or SAP.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations.
  • Ability to manipulate large amounts of data.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with accounting and non-accounting individuals;
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
  • Team player
  • Good time-management skills
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to conduct detailed procedures in a time constrained environment
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong sense of time organization and urgency
