Job overview 

The budgeting and reporting Assistant, is under the supervision of the budgeting and reporting manager the job holder will be responsible for managing day to day financial activities including verification of financial documentation to ensure adherence to the internal and donor procedures , support finance team during month end closure, participate in the procurement committee , he/she will be in-charge of following up on IRC sub-awards and local partners and ensure providing required support to the local partners including capacity building component, in addition the post holder will assist team on the internal and external audits and following up on fulfilling audit requirement.

 

Specific duties

  • Preparing financial reports for all grants belongs to country office.
  • Updating online BVA on regular basis, and sending backup to HQ for further action,
  • Attending GOM, GRM, GCM and following action points,
  • Reviewing monthly salary& benefits(including 13th month)JVs and confirming accuracy,
  • Following up with program coordinators to provide monthly staff salary allocation,
  • Financial review of PR and commitments up to authorized limit,
  • Updating master budget on quarterly basis and sending for finance controller review,
  • Preparing manual BVA on monthly basis, reviewing transactions and preparing necessary adjustment,
  •  Following up with budget holders and collecting adjustment recommendations,
  • Posting Budgets in SUN to be restored in HQ Server.
  •    Liaison with Finance and other departments for all BVA payment (Interim Expenses to be clear from the BVA system)
  • Preparing all government budgets as per request of MOPIC,
  • Ensure compliance with IRC procedures and guidelines.
  •    Perform other duties as may be assigned by your supervisor.
  • Logistic Duties: In liaison with Logistics department, assist in preparation of commitment lists every month for financial obligations already entered into but not captured in financial reports.

 

Qualification

  • Fresh graduated, Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance from recognized College/Institutions.
  • Computer literate with significant experience in excel, accounting package knowledge (SUN system) will be an added advantage.
