The Conflict Sensitivity Facility works with donors, UN, INGOs, NNGOs and civil society in Sudan to develop and test innovative ways for aid to better fit the local context, minimize unintended harm and build our positive contributions. With initial funding from the FCDO, the facility, managed by Saferworld, builds on lessons learnt from a successful multi-donor approach in South Sudan that has been operating since 2016

The Conflict Sensitivity Facility (CSF) provides technical analysis, services and advice in support of integrating conflict sensitive principles and practices into donor strategies and donor-funded programming in Sudan. Conflict sensitivity is a programming approach that emphasises strong contextual analysis and programmatic flexibility to minimise aid’s negative consequences and maximise positive impacts.
