 Background:

Maintain Quality, Environment & Occupational health and safety (QHSE) of the integrated Management system of the organization by participate in planning, developing, implementing and maintaining the corresponding management systems in compliance with corporate QHSE methods and guidelines.

 



 
 Duties and responsibilities:

  • Lead the developing of QHSE Business strategy for optimum utilization of resources and infrastructure and participating in long-term planning to accommodate future growth by advising Site Management
  • Supervising implementation of OH&S policies and procedures as per ISO 45001:2018 with facilitation and enhancement of proper setup.
  • Supervising implementation of Environmental policies and procedures as per ISO 14001:2015 with facilitation and enhancement of proper setup.
  • Supervising implementation of quality policies and procedures as per ISO 9001:2015 with facilitation and enhancement of proper setup.
  • Lead implementation of process improvement program (lean six sigma) and QHSE training plan and programs.
  • Ensure positive QHSE culture among employees; improve employee   participation on QHSE management & lead initiation and implementation improvement plans and programs.  
  • Lead implementation of QHSE internal audit and follow up findings & preparation of external audit and follow up of audit findings.
  • Lead update of operational documented information within the integrated management system.
  • Ensure all new processes documented and standardized within the integrated management system. (Quality, Environmentally, health and safety).
  • Ensure all non-routine operation along the company processes sorted out and updated. (Environmentally, health and safety).
  • Ensure risk assessment and environmental impact define the required control measures defined, and in place with frequent monitoring; while selecting the proper way for monitoring. (Environmentally, health and safety).
  • Carry out required training if any; to ensure the required control effective and efficient. (Environmentally, health and safety).
  • Communicate the emergency plan all concerned parties understood, and effectively followed (all scenarios) & conduct premises survey to ensure emergency plan suitable and carry out frequent emergency drill.
  • Managing incidents and non-conformities.
  • Lead monitoring of all processes KPIs and updated the software in daily, weekly, monthly basis & prepare the required report of KPIs monitoring.
  • Managing the instruments calibration status and update calendar frequently
  • Supervise daily reviews of current work practices on all locations in order to ensure planned and agreed control measure in place.
  • Accountable to monitor OH&S and environmental surveys either through contractor or internally.
  • Direct the preparation of the department, plants budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget.
  • Lead implementation and improvement of company procedures so that all relevant procedural / legislative requirements fulfilled.
  • Perform any other tasks on the job as maybe assigned by the superior from time to time as the needs arise.

 


 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

  • BSc in engineering or science discipline from recognized university.
  • 8 to 10 years in occupational health and safety management including 5 to 6 years in supervisory level.
  • NEBOSH-IGC.
  • NEBOSH-EC
  • Lean six sigma – green belt.
  • Kaizen practitioner (preferred).
  • Internal audit ISO 45001:2018 or OHSAS 18001:2007. Preferred Lead auditor/Auditor ISO 45001:2018
  • Internal audit ISO 14001:2015. Preferred Lead auditor/Auditor ISO 14001:2015
  • Internal audit ISO 9001:2015. Preferred Lead auditor/Auditor ISO 9001:2015
  • Leadership: Strong leadership skills to manage and motivate all staff.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills:  face complex Group and business development challenges that span multiple departments and teams.
  • Communication skills: Must bridge the gap between technical and non-technical teams and translate technical ideas in terms of business value.
  • Project management: Prioritize, plan and execute technical projects on time and on budget.
  • Adaptability: business environment changes constantly, need to be flexible to maintain and introduce functional approach that enables productivity.
  • Coaching ability to coach and mentor staff one-on-one basis and as a group.
