Chemonics International is hiring for a new USAID program that aims to support civil society organizations and independent media to advance key transition priorities. The implementation of this program requires a highly integrated and dynamic team approach to creative, coordinated, and effective program implementation in order to meet the program’s objectives.

Duty Station: Khartoum

	Duties and responsibilities: Records expenditures in ABACUS, the project’s financial management system Tracks sub ledger balances, including receivable accounts for individual staff, such as outstanding travel advances, vehicle mileage, and personal telephone use Prepares invoices for accounts receivables on a monthly basis Scans and files finance documents on a daily basis to maintain TNS’ electronic and hard copy financial filing system Supports the finance manager and finance officer to process payroll, social/health insurance, and tax payments on a weekly basis Assists the finance manager and finance officer with financial reporting and analysis Collects and compiles expense reports and payment request packages from project staff as required Other duties as assigned.
	Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required: Bachelor’s degree required in business management, accounting or a related field One year of relevant bookkeeping, financial management and/or accounting experience is required, two years is preferred Knowledge of basic accounting and accounting practices is required, as well as general accounting best practices in Sudan Fluency in written and oral Arabic required. Strong English-language abilities required
