 Background:

The main purpose of this position is to supervise the fleet’s status and follow up on light vehicle & trucks maintenance and repair, ensuring all vehicles cleanliness.



 
 Duties and responsibilities:

  • Checkup and monitor preventive maintenance (lubrication schedules and daily checkup charts.

  • Inspects vehicles in need of repairs, inquiring with Drivers on the breakdown and malfunction claims, analyzing and reporting major breakdowns and abuse cases.

  • To confirm the required repair nature through proper troubleshooting.

  • To select the right technicians for the right jobs.

  • To ensure that technicians are performing the jobs within the standard time, following correct repair and safety procedures and guidelines.

  • Send daily, weekly and monthly reports of work done and breakdown in the site.

  • Liaise and work hard with maintenance/accident controller to minimize downtime in vehicles.

  • Performs spot-checks on vehicles for unreported accidents and breakdowns, reporting findings to fleet Manager.

  • Provide reports of light vehicles & trucks utilization /efficiency /usage in Chicks delivery.

  • Request and follow-up of the fleet workshop necessities (spare part, stationery, clean tools).

  • Follows up with the Car Wash Foreman on the number of vehicles washed per day.

  • Monitors team workshop attendance and other personnel-related issues. 


 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

BSc. Degree in Mechanical Engineer (automotive) (Essential)

3-5 Years’ experience 

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: 

  • Computer literate.

  • Ability to work in a challenging environment.

  • Customer Service.

  • Ability to work in shifts when the job demands.

  • Ability to communicate well to other members of the development team.

  • Ability to work as a part of a team and individually.

  • Comply with the company safety procedures.
