Driver / Custom liaison is responsible for the daily management of the GIZliaison and Drivingactivities for the GIZ Sudan. Within these responsibilities, tasks include 60% of job scope:

Administration of international and national visa processes:

Responsible for processing of stay visa, exit/re-entry visas, visa renewal/extensions, work permits and expatriate registration for all Concern staff related

Produce the weekly visa and liaison issues in an update status.

Follow upon visa applications with the relevant government ministries in consultation with the General System manager

Complete the application forms for migration process and attaching the relevant copies for submission to MOFA
-
Photocopy and keep organized copies of all approved travel documents

Processing of travel permits

Complete travel permit forms and submitting the documentation to MOFA for all operational states

Photocopy and keep organized copies of all approved documents

Provide a weekly update to the General system manager
Communication and Liaison:

Maintain regular and positive communication with all relevant external organizations (MOFA, immigration, Labor Office etc) to identify and address specific issues regarding visa processing.

Provide accurate, constructive up to date advice and information for staff and senior management.
Other Duties 40%:

Carrying out all the functions needed for driving vehicles.

Drive the vehicle allocated to you in safe and lawful manner at all time

Conducts the daily check-up & routine check and minor maintenance to ensure that vehicle is using is sound Services

Reporting any accidents occur and traffic violations promptly to head of Finance and administration and Risk Management Advisor or AV when in field.

Not authorized to allow NON- GIZ to drive vehicle assigned to you

Drive on safety speed, not exceeded 100 Km/Hr. on high ways and 60 Km. off roads in towns,

Keep vehicle clean and neat all the time.

Should observe the town traffic limits.

Observes that vehicle should equip with fire extinguisher and follow the preventive maintenance instructions.

Conduct the Pre- Operating maintenance by checking: Battery fluid level – Radiator water - Fuel – Oils – Tire (Including Spare) – Lights – Horn – Windshield – Brakes – Fan belts – Tool sets

Conduct the visually inspect such as: Body dirt – Oil and Fuel Leakages – Signs of loose nuts & bolts – and necessary emergency equipment such as: Jack and log wrench. – rear view mirror – Fuel Cap – Radiator Cap

Conduct operating maintenance.

Using the log book on daily basis for registering the mileages, fuel, and maintenance undertaken
