 Background:

ROLE PURPOSE: 

This position is responsible for overseeing all primary healthcare aspects of  health programs at different states .  Particular on  primary healthcare interventions in the reproductive health sector, immunization, child health, communicable and non-communicable diseases, pharmacy, and other areas as needed. When deployed clinical Coordinator will ensure quality of health services provided, respond to various emergencies , directly implementing or supervising health activities.

Clinical coordinator will provide surge and fill staff gap under sudan operations

HE/SHE will support different field offices in establishing responses , intiating activities and provide on-job training for facility staff. And ensure all quality bench marks in place



 
 Duties and responsibilities:

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY : 

•Responsible for the development and implementation of a strong project work plan, that is designed to achieve the project’s stated goals and objectives, within the available staffing and budget.

•Responsible for ensuring that strong data collection and information management systems are in place for ongoing performance analysis and programmatic action, and that all members of the team know their roles and responsibilities for monitoring and evaluation. 

•Esatblish emergency response interventions when needed 

•participate in the management of project budgets, including the development of procurement and spending plans. 

•Ensure that proper drug management systems are in place and liaise for technical assistance as needed for all strategic aspects of drug management and supply. 

•Monitor evolving needs of the target communities, conduct assessments on health needs in new project areas and adjust the programmatic priorities as necessary in collaboration with Health Managers. 

•Lead the implementation of needs assessments, and support the technical design of such assessments Promote the quality of the SCI’s health programs by setting up quality assurance mechanisms and checks in collaboration with other staff.

In coordination with the program Mnager and HPI, actively develop and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders, including government actors, UN agencies, international and local NGOs, and other relevant actors

In coordination with the program Mnager and HPI, participate in local coordination meetings, and actively try to initiate more coordination among NGO and other civil society partners. 

•RepresentSCI  to  local  communities,  government  departments,  international  agencies,  local partners and donors as required

•Participate in the development of new proposals and initiatives for the SCI health program in line with the sudan health annual / Strategic Plan and the outcomes and evidence framework

Ensure the timely submission of information for donor reports for all health projects, including reporting against the logical framework. 

•Review all reports prepared by the field staff and provide appropriate feedback to the concerned staff, and ensure that reports are written and submitted to concerned bodies in a timely manner. 

•In collaboration with program managers, review Budget vs. Actual expenditure for health programs on a monthly basis with staff.

•Prepare information about SCI program activities as needed


 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mediciene, nursing , pharmacy or  public health with experinces 2-5 years in realted field.
    Highly organized approach to Project Management
  • A significant work experience in humanitarian and development programs internationally.
  • Experience in project management and project management cycle, including design, implementation 
  • Demonstrated field experience.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Programme design skills, including capacity to prepare logical, coherent, and consistent documents including logframes .
  • Good understanding of donor requirements and reporting mechanisms.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively with project members in various locations and from multiple organisations, including remote writing and revising relvent documents;
  • Excellent organizational skills;
  • Ability to analyse and summarize information;
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure in a rapidly changing context;
  • Willingness and ability to travel to the field to conduct assessments and gather primary data;
  • Prior experience of facilitating multi-stakeholders workshops and dialogues;
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic;
  • Commitment to and understanding of Save the Children’s aims, values and principles including rights-based approaches.
  • Commitment to SCI goals and principles; in particular, an understanding of the mandate of SCI and its focus on children and the ability to ensure that this approach is the foundation of our commitment.
