 Background:

Lead company project management office to achieve strategic goals and objectives of the company. Responsible for leading and participating in high-level strategic planning and budgeting.


 
 Duties and responsibilities:

•Leads company project management office to achieve strategic goals and objectives of company. •Leads and participate in high-level strategic planning; monitor contract management, contract accounting, knowledge management, and business processes. •Act as the hub for overall program delivery performance, monitoring, reporting, contract management and approvals •Implement and administer an effective contract document management system for the entire program, including an electronic workflow system •Coordinate the management of overall programme budgets, contingencies, risks •Monitor all contractual and non-contractual due dates and follow up responses from the Resident Engineers •Regularly conduct and evaluate research as part of the proper planning process. •Manage progress, claims and variations consulting other experts as necessary; •Manage contractual risks by anticipating events and taking prompt, proactive actions to manage such risk •Put in place arrangements for effective management of works, maintaining records of progress, resource, inspections and testing. •Maintain rigorous quality control over all aspects of projects, establishing systems and processes for managing budgets, payments, guarantees, cash flow, risk contingency and other allocated funding within the delegation. •Maintain record of works completed for which payments are accrued and records of claims received, gain input from other internal stakeholders, resolve claims with minimum delay and authorize payments. •Manage spending against budget and provide regular updates of forecasts to complete (outturn forecast); •Work in partnership with consultants and vendors to identify solutions to emerging issues and resolve them as they occur without causing delay to the program. •Maintain clear records of all instructions and solutions identified to expedite the contract; •Maintain an up to date program schedule, monitoring progress and changes to schedule; •Maintaining dialogue with the consultants /Vendors to improve timescales and revisions when delay occurs; •Manage all resources allocated to the project efficiently, putting in place appropriate delegations and controls. •Set clear objectives and delivery targets for individual members of the team; manage performance and learning opportunities.

 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

•BSc. in relevant field •Minimum 15 years relevant work experience in a highly technical environment •Project management knowledge and experience is a must •Relevant experience in managing a PMO department is a must •Strong communication and presentation skills in both English and Arabic •Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly MS Project •Strong leadership & communication skills and interaction with various local and international entities
