Storekeeper 2

 Background:

 

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), an impartial, neutral and independent organisation striving to protect and assist victims of armed conflict and internal violence, has been working in Sudan since 1978. The ICRC is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person for the position of Storekeeper 2 for its delegation in Khartoum.

 

Purpose:

Storekeeper 2 is responsible for the proper handling of the warehouse of the ICRC medium/large operation and/or for specific sectors, including store organization in accordance with standard operating procedures.


 



 
 Duties and responsibilities:

·       Receives and checks incoming goods against the delivery note and reports any issues.

·       Ensures that goods are properly stored, picked, packed and loaded and reports any issues.

·       Ensures that all the stored goods are properly labeled (expiry dates, batch numbers, manufacturer, etc.) and recorded.

·       Weighs and tallies goods during loading and unloading.

·       Updates bin cards and stock cards when supervising an inventory transaction.

·       Participates in inventory counts.

·       Keeps the facility's equipment and materials neat, clean and orderly and reports any issues.

·       Where required, ensures that temperatures are properly recorded.

 


 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

·       Completion of secondary school education. Some college coursework completed, or an Associate Degree is an asset.

·       Vocational training in administration or logistics, or equivalent experience

·       Minimum 2 years’ experience in Logistics, storekeeping, administration or similar position

·       Team-management experience an asset.

·       Conversational in English and Arabic

·       Good level in computer skills

·       Skilled in the following competencies: Leadership, Accountability, People management, Team work & Collaboration, Beneficiary & Client focused.
