JOB PURPOSE

IT Solution Assistant (SCOPE)

 Will be involved in Cash-Based Transfer (CBT) activities and guide internal and external colleagues across the country on relevant business procedures supported by SCOPE - our web-based application used for beneficiary registrations, intervention setups, distribution planning, transfers and distribution reporting.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)

 Under the overall supervision of the IT Officer in Area Office or Sub office, the IT Solution Assistant will be responsible for the following:

  • Participate in beneficiary services during registration campaign.
  • Follow the relevant standard operating procedures for registering beneficiaries into WFP food assistance activities.
  • Test and deploy new software/hardware to support CBTs activities C.
  • Provide technical support to retailers, beneficiaries and WFP Program during distribution cycles for e – voucher or cash transfer modality.
  • Train WFP staff/CP/Retailer on how to use new technologies used in CBT.
  • Conduct regular data quality checks, ensuring clarity, accuracy and consistency at the first level
  • Actively participate in IT Macro/Micro Assessment according to the standard operating procedures for CBTs activities.
  • Any other duties as assigned

 

STANDRAD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Secondary school education preferably supplemented by tertiary learning in business, social studies, public administration or other related field.

Experience:  Four years of experience in the following areas:

  •  Information Technology.
  • Computer science or any relevant filed

Language: PFluent in both English and Arabic.

 

DESIRED EXPERIENCES FOR ENTRY INTO THE ROLE

 

  • University Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology is highly desirable. For University Degree graduates, the minimum requirement of work experience in a related field is reduced to two years..

  • Accurate entry of beneficiary /Information in database.
  • Well organized, complete and accurate reports, records and/or data, put together independently with only general guidance.

  • Ability to work in a team with close-knit coordination between Beneficiaries, WFP, Government, Cooperating Partners and other service providers during registration
