At WFP, we are looking for several (4 positions) of talented IT Analyst (IT Solutions Associate – SCOPE Analyst) hired as a Service Contract level 6 in Khartoum, Sudan that will be involved in Cash-Based Transfer (CBT) activities and guide internal and external colleagues across the country on relevant business procedures supported by SCOPE - our web-based application used for beneficiary registrations, intervention setups, distribution planning, transfers and distribution reporting.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)

As an IT Solutions Associate (SCOPE Analyst), you will be responsible for:

  • Provide your technical support for registrations, distributions, redemptions and reconciliations for all delivery mechanisms implemented through SCOPE platform;
  • Write program code to support the development and implementation of efficient and effective IT solutions;
  • Test and deploy new software and hardware to support CBT activities countrywide;
  • Train your WFP colleagues, cooperating partners and other service providers on how to use new technologies used in CBT activities;
  • Conduct regular data quality checks and reports to ensure clarity, accuracy, consistency, and timeliness;
  • Evaluate, administer, develop, update, provide troubleshooting assistance, train and document support materials for local applications;
  • Streamline existing internal processes and systems by eliminating or consolidating of redundant steps;
  • Lead digitalization activities by exploring local data needs in innovative ways;
  • Keep an updated status of all your tasks so any colleague can take over any of the applications with the minimum disruption;
  • Participate in recurring IT assessments and effectively use following WFP corporate guidance, standard operating procedures for registration, privacy of information, and, gender and protection.

STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • This vacancy is open to qualified Sudanese Nationals /authorizion to work in Sudan according to Sudanese regulations.
  • Education: Completion of secondary school education and a post-secondary certificate in the domain of Information Technology are required.
  • Experience: A minimum of five years of relevant experience is required.
  • Language: Proficiency in English and Arabic.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • University Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology is highly desirable. For University Degree graduates, the minimum requirement of work experience in a related field is reduced to three years.
  • Official development training or certificate using MVC Falcon Framework and Tableau Desktop/Server is highly preferable.
