 Background:

Age: 30 years old.

 

Job Purpose:

 

·        Plan, direct, or coordinate the activities of buyers, purchasing officers, and related workers involved in purchasing materials, products, and services.



 
 Duties and responsibilities:

·         Maintain records of goods ordered and received.

·         Forecast levels of demand for services and products.

·         Locate vendors of materials, equipment or supplies, and interview them in order to determine product availability and terms of sales.

·         Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment.

·         Control purchasing department budgets.

·         Interview and hire staff, and oversee staff training.

·         Review purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy.

·         Analyze market and delivery systems in order to assess present and future material availability.

·         Develop and implement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures.

·         Participate in the development of specifications for equipment, products or substitute materials.

·         Represent companies in negotiating contracts and formulating policies with suppliers.

·         Review, evaluate, and approve specifications for issuing and awarding bids.

·         Direct and coordinate activities of personnel engaged in buying, and distributing materials, equipment, machinery, and supplies.

·         Prepare deals requiring board approval.

·         Prepare reports regarding market conditions and merchandise costs.

·         Administer on-line purchasing systems.

·         Able to qualify vendors/ companies.


 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

·         Minimum 5 years of Experience in purchasing and logistics management.

·         MSc of purchasing and logistics, MBA or any other relate field.

·         Commercial awareness.

·         Negotiation skills.

·         Reporting skills

·         Organizing skills.

·         Ability to adapt to different client needs and to develop and maintain successful working relationships.

·         Ability to make important decisions and cope with the pressure.

·         Ms. Office proficiency.

·         English language fluency.
