General Job Provisions:
Fixed Assets & Bank Reconciliation Accountant in charge of maintaining accounting fixed asset books and bank reconciliation on day-to-day basis.


A- Basic Function:
•    Responsible for Managing of Fixed Assets &Capex expenditure.
•    Ensure that accounting for fixed assets, WIP and other investments are in line with prevailing policies & procedures.
•    Accurate processingof Capex,Accruals &Asset Register update.
•    Ensuring adherence to the company's system of controls and authorities of Capex.
•     To ensure internal controls pertaining to all Capex budget availability.
•     Responsible of maintaining accuracy of Fixed Assets records.
•    To ensure timely, accurate and complete booking of all capitalization & depreciation process in the General Ledger.
•    To ensure all month closing transaction are processed on time.
•    To follow up & ensure that all bank accounts are reconciled.
•    To submit accounts reconciliation by day 10 of the next month.


B- Principal Accountabilities:
•    Financial Controls – Enforce financial control processes within Fixed Assets area. Apply company policy and procedures to support day-today operation. Liaise with CoB focal point throughout the business to ensure they are fully aware of the supporting documentation requirements and authority levels for processing of Capex expenditure.
•    Fixed assets – Ensure that accounting for fixed assets & WIP is in line with prevailing policies, control capital budget monitoring, authorization, funds release and commitment tracking.
•    Budgeting – Ensure invoices for Capex item have been appropriately sanctioned by requisite authority &  expenses  are properly authorized.
•    Procedures – Assist in the monitoring and maintenance of procedures and processes within the management framework to ensure that individual transactions are appropriately controlled, allocated and authorized.
•    Financial posting – Ensure the maintenance of sound financial records. Ensure financial posting are made in accordance with the corporate accounts structure, and with relevant International Financial Reporting Standard & generally accepted accounting standard - ie. that accruals,  invoices for payment, and other financial entries are properly coded, checked, authorized, entered, reconciled and posted.
•    Funds Availability – Provide regular information to CoB in relation to fund availability for Capex payments.
•    FA Verification - Process periodic FA verifications, counts and reconciliation’s. Ensure the FA ledgers are reconciled and balanced as required.
•    Reporting – Develop and produce periodic reports on Fixed assets status Q to all CoB concern. To process any required report by CoB, Auditors FM etc.
•    Ensure that all fixed Assets procedures are enforce & follow up  fixed Assets transfer, disposal destroy etc.
•     Taxation – Assist in accounting for Capital gain taxes, duties, due to the tax authority arising from any sales of assets & ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
•    Statutory Accounts – Assist Accounting Manager to prepare Statutory Accounts and deal with auditors queries.
•    Filing – Ensure all Fixed Assets records & Bank Reconciliation are filed, secure and are accessible when required.
•    IT – To perform his/her user information security responsibilities as per Information Security Policy.
•    SHE- Ensure owns compliance with a safe, healthy and enjoyable work environment that compliance with company's and Group's SHE requirements and good practice.

C- Pre-entry  Requested Experience:
i. Education Qualification
   •   Minimum 03 years Diploma or BSc. Degree in Finance &Accounting or Business Administration or any relevant field of study.

ii. Expereince
     •  Experience in Accounting & Finance for University degree holders with exposure to the Corporate’s finance systems. Good interpretative and communication skills and awareness of accounting implications of business transactions required; or 04 years’ experience for 03 years Diploma with good exposure in a similar job and other areas of finance

D- Competencies/Training Requirements:
•    Excellent in English language (written& spoken).
•    Good In dealing with accounting system (ERP system). Knowledge of Sage 300 will be an advantage
•    Have good computer and IT skills in general and excellent skills in MS Excel.
