Prosthetics and Orthotics Field Officer II - Flying

 Background:

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), an impartial, neutral and independent organisation striving to protect and assist the victims of war and internal violence, has been working in Sudan since 1978. The ICRC is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person for the following position in Khartoum: Prosthetics and Orthotics Field Officer II - Flying



 
 Duties and responsibilities:

  • Conducts field trips and visits to State Physical Rehabilitation Centres (sPRCs)
  • Undertakes P&O clinical sessions and training sessions when required
  • Monitors the clinical activities within sPRCs
  • Supports the activities of the sPRCs including workshop management, clinical management and Centre Administration including store management, premises
  • Verbal and written reporting to line manager

 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

  • Batchelor Degree (CAT I) or Diploma CAT II in Prosthetics and Orthotics Sciences or higher
  • 4-6 years clinical experience in similar position or managerial capacity.
  • Good communicator: Can speak and write English comprehensively
  • Computer literate, including use of software; Word, Excel, power point etc.
  • Skilled in the following competencies: Representing the ICRC; Networking & Communication; Adapting & Learning; Responsibility & Autonomy; Communication (ability to express views and ideas); Analysis & Synthesis
  • Candidates with overseas experience in practice of P&O services would be given preference.
