Global Aid Hand seeks to implement quality and timely health and nutrition programmes as part of its vision and mandate in Sudan. The purpose of the general food monitor is to manage the receipt, storage, dispatch, distribution monitoring, documentation, accounting and reporting of commodities associated with the Commodities program within Global Aid Hand whilst being cognizant of the crosscutting issues such as Gender Mainstreaming and Child Protection.

• Assist the Food Distribution Supervisor in the Mobilization of beneficiaries / IDPs / refugees for the food distribution process in the selected areas / IDP / refugees camps.
• To inspect commodity trucks under the supervision of the Food Distribution Supervisor at the transit warehouses / distribution sites and ensuring that commodities are properly stacked and protected during the distribution process.
• Assist the Food Distribution Supervisor in fixing the distribution sites and ensuring that all distribution materials are in place.
• Ensure that each registered beneficiary sign or thumbprint on the beneficiary lists during the distribution process.
• Assist the Food Distribution Supervisor coordinator in arranging the beneficiaries at the distribution sites and ensuring that they receive their proper rations.
• Assist the Food Distribution Supervisor to undertake daily physical inventory of all commodities at the transit warehouse / distribution sites throughout the period of the distribution.
• Assist in registration / Assessment as and when required in order to complement the effort of the team assigned to these tasks.
• Responsible to produce and submit to the Food Distribution Supervisor, the daily distribution report and the food monitors report after every distribution,
• Undertake any other duty assigned by the Food Distribution Supervisor.

• Bachelor degree in Public Health , social science or equivalent professional qualification.
• At least 3 years working experience in food monitoring in addition to experience in food distribution.
• Fluency in English and Arabic both written and spoken
• Good communication skills and report writing skills
• Ready to work at minimum supervision and under pressure
• ready to travel to remote areas
