 Background:

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), an impartial, neutral and independent organisation striving to protect and assist the victims of war and internal violence, has been working in Sudan since 1978. The ICRC is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person for the following position in Khartoum: Assistant II



 
 Duties and responsibilities:

Purpose of the job:

The Assistant to Training Coordinator is responsible for all office work related to managing Sudanese Diploma in Prosthetics and Orthotics course liaising with partner staff of NAPO and Alneelain University.  He /She reports to ICRC PRP training coordinator.

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist ICRC training coordinator to Implement, monitor and organize trainings.
  • Maintains and expands network of interlocutors in the area of responsibility
  • Assist ICRC training coordinator for  all written reporting related to the Sudanese Diploma in Prosthetics and Orthotics (SDPO)
  • Initiates, organizes and provides secretarial and administrative duties for SDPO.
  • Disseminates information and ensures efficient information flow and communication with other departments and sites.
  • Supervises, provides coaching and training for relevant partner’s staff in the area of responsibility
  • Plans and executes all administrative procedures related to training and budget follow-up

 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor Degree, some College Coursework Completed, an Associate Degree or equivalent higher education degree in business administration, finance, management or economics
  • 4-6 years’ experience in administration, office or service management, client or public relations, or in a field related to the work of the department
  • Advanced Conversational in English and Arabic
  • Expert in computer knowledge
  • Skilled in the following competencies: Communication (written and verbal), Negotiation, Representing the ICRC, Planning, Organization & Assessment; Responsibility & Autonomy
