To manage, direct and ensure that the End Users objectives and requirements are met by getting the Project completed on time and within budget. Responsible for the overall monitoring and onsite management of a Project. Integrating with other Departments and Contractors on a regular basis. ·         Ensure that NPC policies, rules and regulation are implemented within his domain.

·         Ensure the performance of all the responsibilities of the PMC.

·         Coordinate and develop SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) and Specifications by which the Quality of the PMC including execution works can be monitored. He shall draw on his experience and other standards that are available to prepare a manual suitable for use through PMC activities.

·         Responsible for performing full construction management & contract coordination duties in addition to furnishing the user with information and recommendation on various issues.

·         Follow up and resolve with the various parties involved to ensure compliance with their respective contractual obligations.

·         Work closely with other Heads of Departments in the proper planning of their projects and value engineering for construction.

·         Assist and resolve projects design related problems and bottlenecks encountered at site and in the construction stage.

·         Preparation or provide construction input of Monthly, Cost control, Planning reports as required.

·         Manage subcontracts agreements for external suppliers / consultants and construction sub-contractors.

·         Review of contractors progress reports, Progress payments, etc. and making recommendations in safeguarding the End user interest.

·         Updates and verifies any variation order claims by presenting the actual sequence of events and justifications

·         Ensure proper phasing and interface of the various components with other interested parties and other furnishings/facilities into construction as and where required

·         Attendance of meetings including design construction, value engineering, insurance, etc.

·         Prepare records & report on daily construction progress, problems, resources, lessons, risks etc.

·         Monitoring and ensuring supervision of construction activities in compliance to contractual obligations.

·         Monitoring site activities for compliance with safety, specifications & schedule.

·         Preparation of correspondence on the above based on the approved Project Management Plan and workflow.

·         Reviews tender documents and  technical proposals for compliance, constructability and practical completion.

·         Review and evaluate proposals and offers, select and recommend qualified contractor/supplier/consultant. Negotiations with suppliers and contractors to provide various elements for each project.

·         Checks and ensure  that all the works in his area of assignment conforms with quality standards and references including contract documents, accepted standards, government regulations and company quality control programs, policies and procedures.

·         Performs such duties as assigned from to time

The position requires engineering graduate preferably Civil Engineering with ten (10)years  in engineering and construction works.. Should be computer literate and wide ranging experience.
