1) Able to collect all lab samples (Chemical, microbiology and etc.), prepare samples to in-house tests or/ and send out to outside laboratory analysis, and maintain the laboratory log and equipment.

2) Tests are performed according to laboratory procedure and guidelines and test results are correctly and legibly entered on the report forms and laboratory records.

3) Maintain/monitor and reconcile controlled microbiology material and chemicals; list needed inventory items on want list before the last one is taken.

4) The lab. Technician is accountable for all aspects of the laboratory service and is the key bridge between laboratory, quality operations and production operation.

5) Direct efforts toward quality documentation, including providing procedures.

6) Establish criteria for quality reviews.

7) Establish policies and procedures that contribute to the efficiency of the quality control department.

8) Documentation: Responsible for accurately completing records and reports and other statistical information for master files or databases. Follows laboratory policy for data retrieval, record keeping, specimen, and identification, requisition, reporting, and charting.

9) Problem solving/critical thinking: Investigates and resolves technical problems, consults supervisor if resolution involves policy or procedure modification.

10) Responsible for prepare and delivery of clear and product label.

11) Prepare samples for outside laboratory analysis. if any

12) Perform other duties as assigned  

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in veterinary or directly related field; four year experience in a veterinary laboratory position.
