·         Monitor bridge and culverts construction works based on the Quality Assurance and Quality Control plan  

·         Monitor in situ material qualification tests provided by the Contractor; and review the test results recommend for further evaluation testing etc.

·         Use material qualification tests to evaluate the conformance of material with the Technical Specifications prior to construction.

·         Ensure sampling and testing for conformance of the materials to the Technical Specifications are carried by the contractor;

·         Document that material used and work performed meet specified procedures required in the contract;

·         Document that work performed meets lines and grades shown on the Drawings;

·         Monitor that the construction activities do not damage the underlying geo-synthetic materials, drainage ditches and pipes, substructures, and public utilities;

·         Document that Manufacturer descriptions meet the design requirements.  The contractor should be required to submit a properties’ sheet including, at a minimum, all specified properties required in the Technical Specifications, or equivalent;

·       Advance University degree in Civil Engineering or related field is required or a Bachelor degree with minimum 5 years relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of an advance degree

·       Minimum 7 years work experience in construction preferably in road structures and water resources development involving international level contractors;

·       Similar experience in post conflict countries is highly desirable;

·       Good knowledge in AASHTO and LRFD is a must;

·       Relevant Knowledge in International standards BS IS are required;

·       Fluency in English and Arabic with ability to use MS Office software programs

·       Minimum of 4-5 years’ experience in road bridge / structures design is essential

·       Experience in steel and RCC bridge design is desirable

·       Experience in water harvesting and water resources development is required

·       Working knowledge in AutoCAD drafting experience is desirable
