Duties and responsibilities: - Using and gathering knowledge of other surveying construction and mine systems, processes and procedures - Effectively communicating with relevant departments across the business to ensure daily targets are achieved in the weekly mine plan) - Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, reports, and legal descriptions of surveys in order to describe, certify, and assume liability for work performed. - Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites. - Direct or conduct surveys in order to establish legal boundaries for properties, based on legal deeds and titles. - Record the results of surveys, including the shape, contour, location, elevation, and dimensions of land or land features. - Calculate heights, depths, relative positions, property lines, and other characteristics of terrain - Prepare or supervise preparation of all data, charts, plots, maps, records, and documents related to surveys. |

Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required: - Surveying or spatial science degree or diploma (or relevant) - Post graduate mine surveying experience is preferred but not required - Sound practical surveying skills - Ability to use Auto Cad and Microsoft office software - Demonstrated support and participation in company safety initiatives - Experience with Trimble and Leica survey equipment - Exposure to GIS software such as Map Info |
