Background: · The major areas relating to the protection of people, property and the environment are: · Anticipate, identify and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices. · Develop hazard control methods, procedures and programs. · Implement, administer and advise others on hazard controls and hazard control programs. · Measure, audit and evaluate the effectiveness of hazard controls and hazard control programs. · Supervise all HSE officers on the field and follow up with all events in the site. · Writing internal health and safety policies/strategies, Undertaking risk assessments and writing reports, bulletins and newsletters. · planning safe working practices and making necessary changes · keeping up to date and ensuring compliance with current health and safety legislation · ensuring that equipment is installed correctly/safely · Providing health and safety training courses for employees and managers and Making presentations to groups of employees/managers and Organizing/attending health and safety meetings. · Making recommendations following accidents/incidents. · Ensure development, implementation and updating of written HSE programs and plans. · Provide HSE statistics and report HSE activities to Divisional HSE Manager, Business Units and Client Representatives. · Observe emergency mock drills and advise the line supervisor regarding proper exercise both in the residential area and work sites. · Carry out instructions in relation to other HSE activities as required by the Divisional HSE Manager. |

Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required: · Education – A bachelor’s degree (4 years) or higher in Safety, Engineering, or related technical field. · Minimum 10 years experience in the field of HSE and at least 5 years in HSE managerial position · Communication Skills – Must have very good written and oral communications. Required to speak effectively before groups of Senior Management, clients, subcontractors, and/or employees of the organization. · 4-Computer Skills – Excellent computer skills required. Must have experience with Microsoft Office programs. |
