 Background:

  1. To maintain full and efficient fire prevention, detection system and alarm equipment within the hospital facilities.


 
 Duties and responsibilities:

  1. Conduct inspection and testing of all fire and life safety equipment available in the hospital as per compliance to national and international standards (CBAHI & JCI)

 

  1. Responsible for PPM of all fire and life safety equipment in hospital wide (fire extinguisher, fire hydrant, fire blanket, smoke detector , fire hose reel cabinet, exit doors, emergency lights, fire alarm panel, etc.).

 

  1. Assist the Safety and Environmental Protection Supervisor and/or Officer in giving instruction and practical exercises for patient evacuation.

 

  1. Assist the Safety and Environmental Protection Supervisor and/or Officer in doing rounds and inspection in all areas of responsibility.

 

  1. Confirms that all staff made familiar with the positions, locations of all fire and life safety equipment to all staff of hospital.

 

  1. Provide training on safety program of the hospital especially PASS and RACE to the newly hired employees.
  2. Support the Safety and Environmental Protection Supervisor and/or Officer in conducting drills.

 

  1. Installing the needed fire and life safety equipment in areas where it may needed.

 

  1. Assist the Safety and Environmental Protection Supervisor and/or Officer in implementing the legal requirements applicable for the NAFH.

 

  1. To observe the condition and disposition of portable fire fighting and other fire defense equipment, report and advice where necessary to the Director of Safety and Environmental Protection Department.

 

  1. Participates in CQIPS system improvement activities, System Control activities, staff development activities.

 

  1. Performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of his/her knowledge, skills and abilities.
  2. Support the Safety and Environmental Protection Supervisor and/or Officer in conducting drills.

 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

  1. Education/Licensure:

 

  1. Diploma or Certification in Electronics and/or equivalent.

          

           Professional Experience:

 

  1. Must have knowledge of electronics alarm control and principle of fire prevention.

 

          Special Knowledge:

 

  1. Driving skills
