Background:
As a civil engineer, you will plan, design and manage construction projects. These can range from the relatively small-scale, for example minor repairs, through to large schemes, like constructing new buildings.

Duties and responsibilities:

Discussing requirements with the client and other professionals (e.g architects)
-
Analyzing survey, mapping and materials-testing data with computer modeling software
-
Drawing up blueprints, using computer aided design (cad) packages
-
Judging whether projects are workable by assessing materials, costs and time requirements
-
Assessing the environmental impact and risks connected to projects
-
Preparing bids for tenders, and reporting to clients, public agencies and planning bodies
-
Managing, directing and monitoring progress during each phase of a project
-
Making sure sites meet legal guidelines, and health and safety requirements.

Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:
Skills:-

Sound mathematical and technical skills including physics
-
Ability to think methodically, to design, plan and manage projects
-
Ability to maintain an overview of entire projects while continuing to attend to detailed technicalities
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-
Negotiating, supervisory and leadership skills combined with the ability to delegate
Minimum Requirements:-

B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from a notable University
-
Knowledge of software programs; (ETABS, PROKON, STAAD)
-
Minimum Experience of 7 years
-
English language proficiency
