 Background:

Background Information - JASMAR

JASMAR is a national NGO that had been established in 2001. JASMAR maintained close partnerships with UNPFA , UNICEF, UNDP, GOAL, Muslim Aid , in addition to the governmental relevant programs/departments and beneficiaries.

JASMAR field of activities are HIV/AIDS control, Mine Action, sustainable Livelihood, Gender, DDR as well as emergency response.

JASMAR geographical presence covered the States of Khartoum, White Nile, Sinnar ,  Blue Nile, North Kordofan,  South Kordofan, Gadarif , Kassala and Red Sea as well as Darfur.

Currently JASMAR Human Security organization has been selected by UNFPA to be an umbrella for the HIV most at risk and vulnerable groups in nine states (Gadarif , Kassala , Red Sea ,Gezira, Sennar, White Nile, North Kordofan and South Kordofan). The project will involve service delivery package to most at risk populations.

Background Information - Job-specific:

Under direct supervision of the Office Manager at the State level and under the technical supervision of the HQ Finance Officer, the Finance Officer will be responsible for provide technical support to HIV/AIDs project implementing partners , regular monitoring and evaluation visits, reporting, also providing support to the Project Officer. As well as any other duties as assigned on temporary bases.



 
 Duties and responsibilities:

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Ensuring compliance with Organization financial policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
  2. Ensuring transparent and efficient utilization of organization financial resources;
  3. Records JASMAR Blue Nile financial transactions on computer using and JASMAR financial system software (FLASH PFS).
  4. Follow up receiving reports (hard Copies) of implementing partners.
  5. Maintaining financial filing system.
  6. Regularly reviewing filing system coding vs. Flash financial system
  7. Keep continuous communication and follow-up with implementing partners to fulfilling their enquires, consultations..etc).

 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

Experience:

  1. At least 2-5 years’ experience in finance & project accounting systems preferably within NGOs experience.
  2. Work experience in national or  international agencies and civil society organizations is desired.
  3. Good in written and spoken English language.

Education:

University Degree in Economics, administration and accounting or similar field with related experience in accounting.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

  1. Good reading, writing, (for both English / Arabic) and arithmetic skills required (this is normally acquired through a university B.Sc. or equivalent).
  2. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and advance level in excel knowledge (this is subjected to exam and assessment).
  3. Professional verbal and written communication.
