 Background:

  • Responsible for conducting classes to Saudi Military in the English language.
  • Participates in OJT programs for the Saudi Military and Civilian Staff.


 
 Duties and responsibilities:

  • Clinical
    1. Responsible for certifying and re-certifying staff in BLS (Arabic/English)
    2. Responsible for teaching clinical skills to the Saudi students.
    3. Participates in other programs as requested by the Nursing Education Coordinator.
    4. Ensures a safe working environment.

 

  • Administrative

     

    1. Ensures accurate academic records are kept for all OJT/Nursing program participants.
    2. Ensures accurate records are kept of any examinations conducted.
    3. Ensures effective communication within the department and between students and staff.
    4. Liaises with Warrant Officers on matters relating to Military Students.
    5. Coordinates and facilitates the Military Health Specialists and Female Health Skills programs.
    6. Liaises with Assistant Director of Training in relation to the above two programs.
    7. Evaluates all programs/classes conducted and modifies them accordingly.
    8. Relieves the Nursing Education Coordinator when on leave, if requested.
    9. Performs other applicable tasks and duties within the realm of his/her knowledge, skills and abilities as delegated/assigned.
    10. Participates in CQIPS system Improvement Activities
    11. Participates in CQIPS System Control Activities.
    12. Participates in CQIPS Staff Development Activities
    13. Environmental Safety Awareness i.e. CPR, Disaster Fire and Infection Control.

 

  • Professional Development
    1. Continues to update professional knowledge with library research and attendance at In-service lectures.
    2. Re-certifies in Basic Life Support (BLS –Saudi Heart Association) annually.
    3. Encouraged to continue with ongoing education processes.

 

  • Other
    1. Maintains confidentiality at all times.
    2. Releases information only to individuals and others as appropriate.
    3. Maintains license in country of hire

 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

  • Education/Licensure:

 

  1. Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, BSCN preferred; or other related health field.
  2. A Registered Nurse Educator or Clinical Nurse Teacher from an accredited college/university.
  3. Two (2) year’s experience as a Nurse Instructor in an acute care facility.
  4. Current license in country hire
  5. Competent in spoken and written Arabic and English language.
  6. Mid-Eastern National Position.
  7. SCFHS Registration and Accreditation.

 

  • Professional Experience:

 

  1. Current acute clinical nursing skills preferred.
  2. Previous teaching within a multi cultural environment preferred.
  3. In-kingdom experience preferred
  4. Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider and Instructor certification.
