Background:
-
Responsible for conducting classes to Saudi Military in the English language.
-
Participates in OJT programs for the Saudi Military and Civilian Staff.
|
|
Duties and responsibilities:
-
Clinical
-
Responsible for certifying and re-certifying staff in BLS (Arabic/English)
-
Responsible for teaching clinical skills to the Saudi students.
-
Participates in other programs as requested by the Nursing Education Coordinator.
-
Ensures a safe working environment.
-
Administrative
-
Ensures accurate academic records are kept for all OJT/Nursing program participants.
-
Ensures accurate records are kept of any examinations conducted.
-
Ensures effective communication within the department and between students and staff.
-
Liaises with Warrant Officers on matters relating to Military Students.
-
Coordinates and facilitates the Military Health Specialists and Female Health Skills programs.
-
Liaises with Assistant Director of Training in relation to the above two programs.
-
Evaluates all programs/classes conducted and modifies them accordingly.
-
Relieves the Nursing Education Coordinator when on leave, if requested.
-
Performs other applicable tasks and duties within the realm of his/her knowledge, skills and abilities as delegated/assigned.

Participates in CQIPS system Improvement Activities
-
Participates in CQIPS System Control Activities.
-
Participates in CQIPS Staff Development Activities
-
Environmental Safety Awareness i.e. CPR, Disaster Fire and Infection Control.

Professional Development
-
Continues to update professional knowledge with library research and attendance at In-service lectures.
-
Re-certifies in Basic Life Support (BLS –Saudi Heart Association) annually.
-
Encouraged to continue with ongoing education processes.
-
Other
-
Maintains confidentiality at all times.

Releases information only to individuals and others as appropriate.

Maintains license in country of hire

Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:
-
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, BSCN preferred; or other related health field.
-
A Registered Nurse Educator or Clinical Nurse Teacher from an accredited college/university.
-
Two (2) year’s experience as a Nurse Instructor in an acute care facility.
-
Current license in country hire
-
Competent in spoken and written Arabic and English language.
-
Mid-Eastern National Position.
-
SCFHS Registration and Accreditation.
-
Current acute clinical nursing skills preferred.
-
Previous teaching within a multi cultural environment preferred.
-
In-kingdom experience preferred
-
Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider and Instructor certification.
